  • NICE!!

  • You didn't show a fume extractor. You showed fumes be sucked into a computer power supply. If wanted anyone to believe you actually did anything useful you would show the fumes weren't just being blown out the other side of the power supply. If you put any filter material on the other side of the power supply, show it, otherwise this is just a worthless video which shows nothing.

  • @Soulrider2012

Thx for your input. I'l consider that when making another video.

An extractor is something that removes fumes (in this case) from an area. Even if the fumes were being pumped out the other end at least it has been removed from the persons immediate area and are no longer concentrated. Used in a ventilated room this would be sufficient anyway.

    Nice clean build inzen86

  • Mmmmmm Solder fumes......Mwughh im sleepy!

    LOL

  • lol just use a vacum

  • Good idea. I was thinking of making one from a coffee can and an 80 mm fan, but this way you have a ready made enclosure. I think I'd rather have the fan downstream from the filter so less crap would build up on the fan blades, though.

  • that sounds loud

  • @KASPERTSO Not as loud as an X-Box 360 xD

  • So you ptake apart the psu, and just added the filter, and just kept everything else intact?

  • I took everything else out and just kept the fan. I use an external 12v powersuply. So it's:a box, a fan and a filter.

  • Youŗ watchin Top gear!! Great show.... also I liked your "Turbo solder fume extractor" , but it's kind off too loud

  • cant see any filter just...

  • The filter is actualy at the other end of the box, where the air exits.

  • @inzen86

isn't it better to place in front of the fan so it cleans the air before it get's further?

I think it's great what you made but not really handy to take everywhere...

  • no way i tested mine the same way

  • Nice job, I might make one sometime.

  • thats a little overkill, but its awesome nonetheless.
