I just started tanking with paladin and am at lvl 33 in a respectable 1day 3hours 44 min /played :)

first off anyone who said paladin can't hold threat should do their homework. second anyone who cant HOLD threat with a paladin should do the same.

Easiest tanking class i have rolled, have an 80 druid DK but not warr.. with 80% holy threat increase from righteous fury you can't go wrong literally. can even hold threat on mobs that are standing way ranged of your pulls!

Yes, Couldn't agree more, but some boss fights DO require a warrior tank, and Paladins run out of mana on long fights, even with wisdom seals, judges up.

protadins can barely go oom after the new talentpatch, their Blessing of Sanctuary gives 2%mana everytime they block,parry or dodge which means that u get around 100 mana for every hit the boss does against u since u always block,parry or dodges every attack.

I have MTed all from kara to archimonde and some bosses in BT and i have made it very well, so take that back :P

Must agree with Nerv. Pally tanks who are constantly oom now are using the wrong set of seals/blessings for the job. Ditch them until they've read the patch notes.

I personally find warriors and pallies alot more similar now. We're still better AoE tanks, but I wish I had stance dancing/spell reflect tricks though, gotta tell ya...

Sun eater is actually pretty good. The way I roll as a paladin is that i have 3 sets of gear: Stamina, Avoidance (Sun eater) and my spell dmg set (where i have my spell dmg wep and some spell dmg enchants/gear). *Note: all my sets have 490 def so they`re meant for reaiding*

I have these diffrent sets for diffrent jobs.

For example tanking bear boss in ZA i use avoidance and Dragonhawk I use spell dmg since I`m just tanking the bird adds.

good movie dude.about the nerfed improved righteous fury i dont think its so important because in beta you have tallent 30% of stamina in spell power wich is a lot of agro too also you have new spells shield of righteousnes is cool it can easyly hit 2k non crit holy dmg and also it cause HIGH amount of threat. about the sun eater paladin with spell power weapon is NOT a must and sun eater is the best avoidance weapon for now.

Continuum Blade is great Prot Pally Weapon, I switched to Mana Wrath, however, and still used the +40spell dmg enchant. My pally has outtanked even the best geared warr in our guild in raids/pvp/heroics. After WoTLK, Pallies will solidify their roll as Badass tanks moreso.

Way to jump to conclusions :S. Yes the 30% threat bonus HAS been removed in this phase of the beta. However it in no way nerf's paladins tanking prowess. Haveing played a paladin, warrior AND druid tank in the beta. I can safely say that none of the classes are at risk of no longer being able to tank.

A. Get some new DPS if spamming Conc lands you #1 damage done.

B. There's is very limited need for AoE aggro on bosses, Warriors got "Oh shit" buttons. Last Stand/Shieldwall are far more valuable in those situation. Mitigation/Avoidance is rougly the same.

C. On bosses, 90% of the time Warriors push out higher TPS, making them favorable. Paladins are favorable on DW'ing bosses due to Holy Shield having more charges than Shieldblock.

Actually I do have a tankadin. Ethion @ Earthen Ring, granted, he was Prot. during leveling and I specced him holy couple of days ago. From my own experience I never had a Prot. Paladin coming out as top damage. Might be different at 70 tho, I wouldn't know. My main is a prot Warrior so I hardly ever group with Prot. Paly's :)

I wouldn't agree with you on that, if you have read my post, paladins can cause plently of threat, for instance, Improved Righteous Fury makes holy spells cause 90% more threat, and also with bosses like Archimonde, Illidan, Supremus, Mother Sharaz (how ever you spell her name) spells like Exorcism and Holy Wrath can deal plenty of threat towards those bosses in particular.
