@TheSamteddy there made for a sealed box. i just ordered 2 of them for my tacoma. on the pioneer website it says that they work best in a sealed box with .64 -1.24 box volume.

there are so many pioneer haters out there, something you just gotta get used too. I for one have had no problems and get plenty of complements. I run one 10 only getting about half power and people think i have atleast 2 subs and that they might be 12's.

Check out my single 12 Premier Iv run for 4 years. It ran 1kwrms for 3 of those years. Im saving it and building a box for it and sticking it an old car in my backyard that doesnt run anymore and using it to show people what Pioneer can do.

depends, these were in a big sealed box for low end extension, around 1.3 cubes per sub. Port them at 1 cube a piece tuned to 32 and you'll be very happy.

hey idk if you got your setup yet, but i got 2 of these in a 4.3 cube ported box tuned to 38 hz. Yea def go lower..i would go around 32 or 35.. 38s high but hits the higher lows very nicely at around 2 cubes per sub for max excursion. I would check out the 08 models.Not the premiers though because the 08's are recommended sealed. Check out the Pioneer champion series TS-W308 subwoofers, 91 db sensitivity, the old models are 88 or 89 so there should be a audible difference. Good luck.

those subs are 350rms each so id suggest atleast a 700rms amp so aim for a 1400watt amp from a good brand such as soundstream jbl jl ma audio etc and your pioneer headunit shouldnt need upgrading unless it doesnt have pre outs the rca outputs but some amplifiers do have speaker line input where you use the speaker terminals to feed the audio into your amp

lol, you could buy 2 10" pioneers, with the box and a 800 Watt amp and it would pump dude. Even if you have 200 Watt pioneers, the Amp is gonna amplify that to basically 400watts a side, combined 600 watts per Sub
