Its retarded that you cant post movies like this on youtube. Youtube expects me to pay 2.99? to see a movie made in 1975? Give me a break. Ill give you 10 cents, how about that. Amazing how people think they make a movie and everyone should have to pay to see it even if it was made over 30 years ago!
@rupertpupkin77 That doesnt justify paying $2.99 for a movie that was made over 30 years ago!! Its ridiculous for film studios to ask for rights to movies they made that long ago and was compensated for many times over. They have no reason to ask ppl to pay money if they all ready made a profit and everyone involved in the movie was paid! Theyre just being greedy assholes. There are tons of movies on youtube aswell. Why pay to see some and not others? Its just silly.
@spxeli ROFL so if you dont like something then shut and dont do it! LOL your a moron. I can love a movie but not love how a production company tries to rake me over the coals whenever it becomes popular or people love it 30 years after it was made. The fact of the matter is im not paying $2.99 for a movie made 30 years ago, and $1.99 for a movie made last year. If you pay that price, your a sucker.
@vidfreak56 First of all learn the difference between "your" and "you're". Second of all, I'm a genuine movie fan and Dog Day Afternoon is one of my favorite movies. So like most people I went out and bought the DVD.
It doesn't matter how old the movie is, if you really believe you're entitled to watch it for free than your logic is really messed up. It's the production companies product and they can put it out there however they want. Stop bitching.
@spxeli LOL i dont type you're to save space(500 chars is too little). Secondly I dont care what you are as a fan. Production companies lobby the government to make laws so that when mass distribution becomes available, they can limit supply and raise the price. I dont have to buy a DVD just because you did. Copyright laws basically give companies way too much time to profit off of movies(they own nothing..the state just says they do). Its a joke. Stop bitching? Make me.
@vidfreak56 make you? i don't even know you. what an internet tough guy you are. well anyways you're obviously mentally unarmed so i won't continue this discussion with you.
@spxeli LOL and you bow out. "Make me" is about as pertinent than telling someone to "stop bitching" in a comment forum you fucking waste of life. You obviously arent mentally capable of having this conversation so you decide to run like a coward. Figures.
@vidfreak56 No, I just don't want to waste my time with people who are easily frustrated and have to hurl insults at people. I'm able to have an intelligent conversation but I obviously already proved my point. You're the one who can't come up with a decent rebuttal, thus why you're getting defensive.
@spxeli People who back out of conversations are easily frustrated. Thats you. And throwing insults?? You pretty much sealed that deal by telling me to shut up, so stop the innocent act. Proved what point? Youve made no point that I havent refuted. You've said nothing that proves anything other than what your belief is. And the funny part is you dont even believe what you say. No one thinks that people should have infinite right to what they think up. Pure and simple.
IMDB says that this line was ad libbed, and that director sidney lumet laghed so hard on set theat the feared he croaked the scene. but he didnt and the line stayed in the final cut. knowing that, watch the flash in the eyes of cazales good friend pacino as he handles the ad-lib...you can see Pacino wants to laugh also but keeps it together then preserves the take by walking away.
@sablebaby LOL! U go, girl! well, im just learning that in the BIble it says that God gives us the desires of our hearts (psalm 37, if you're interested) so thats REALLY good to know! haha:)
They said Cazale was suppose to say nothing there but the ad lib was so brilliant and funny that they just couldn't leave it out. I think most sensitive people would've reacted the way Pacino did; he heard the stupidity of the answer but he maintained decorum and skipped the subject so not to embarrass "Sal" any further than that. There was no need to continue on. "..thats alright. I'm gonna take care of it"..LOL
EVERYBODY was great in this film. Actors, director, "side" people (no disrespect, to the contrary), this was the time in America when true art in profession of acting still existed. However, I would like to focus on one particular actor, JOHN CAZALE, great actor who left us too early. May your soul rest in peace, forever!
@roccoprch1.....you aint kidding..... If he hadn't died at 42 in 1978...he would have been up there with big veteran A-listers like Pacino, DeNiro, Streep and winning Oscars......he left way too early.
My mom went to Boston U. drama with Cazale. She said that even in college, he was regarded as a budding master. All of the other undergrads followed his every word.
Very funny and very endearing.

The saddest part is when Cazale says he doesn't want the cancer.

Sydney Lumet nearly ruined the take from trying not to laugh after Cazale ad-libbed "Wyoming".
