@BamCam9 Professionalism? Nolans sworn Hardy to secrecy and hes mentioned it over and over again. Hardys messing around with idiots who keeping asking him about TDKR
Why can't ask smart questions? The story is tabu, so are the character's role in it. But there are still many thing you can ask from Hardy. This is so stupid for an interview!
It's kind of sad to see the look on Joel Edgerton's face when Tom Hardy says that he won't be an household name, because I think Joel would really like to know why he would say that. But then Tom has to laugh it off with an example of the nature of the character (the mask) because he , ofcourse, isn't allowed to say anything more.
He has changed so much since Star Trek Nemesis, its unbelievable seeing as its the same person. Tom Hardy is such a badass in movies now, can u imagine pitting him against Daniel Craig as a Bond Villain!? He'd wipe Craig's 007 all over the place! lol.
Tom hardy says nobody will notice him or realize it's him, but the same could be said about Ledger and look how insane he rose even after death. I just hope this role he did for Bane doesn't drive him nuts as much as the joker did to Ledger.
@Ellesar23 He had sleeping disorder, insomnia helped him portray the wild mind of joker. He died due to high allergic reaction to sleeping pills. Part of the 1 in 100,000 side effects. Alternative medicine meaning none-natural always provides DEADLY side effects yes also over the counter pills. Warning labels don't stop you from buying cigarettes so don't expect it to work for Tylenol.
@terrybogard21 I doubt Bane would be a psychologically challenging character to play as. I say the challenge is to make Tom Hardy a terrifying 6'8 350 Lbs nightmare. Those who will say "Nolan will make a realistic bane not a comic book one" can suck a BBC. Bane is not Bane if there is no venom or feats of supernatural strength and freakish built. Otherwise it's just a prick speaking through a toilet bowl.
@EtherMagic I know you dream of a man of steel fairy, but Hardy is in no way a dickhead or a disrespectful punk. Nolan had the whole plot and script on lockdown. Therefore, Tom has told countless interviewers before he can't really comment on anything about his role in The Dark Knight Rises. Still people insist on pushing the subject so he avoids it. You sir, are a cunt.
@EtherMagic lool u fuckin cunt, oh this makes me not wanna see the movie, waa, waa, waa his a big meany, grow some balls and stop whinying like a fuckin girl. Also if ur actually stupid enough to base his personality on this video alone, then it just tells everyone how smart u really. His a normal person what do u expect? for him not to have a sense of humour, grow up u fuckin cunt
@EtherMagic first off wtf r u talkin bout u sounded like a little 10 year old girl to me. Secondly saying learn how to write doesnt make you look smarter, it is just unnecessary or is that suposed to be a polite or a distinguished way to insult me lool yh im really ashamed of my self(sarcasm).
@junkhobokiller I don't see what your problem is with Hardy in this interview, fact is he was told not to say anything, I'd be acting just as Hardy has if everybody and there mother was asking me about the movie. Hardy was payed good money by the studio for his roll as Bane, confidentiality is part of his paycheck. Stop acting like a baby, if you don't want to see the movie thats fine, there are a million other people that will be more then happy to take your seat in the theater
It was rude of the interviewer to ask about a SUPER lucrative and popularizing role that Tom Hardy would be playing in front of his "Warrior" costar. I could see that in a 1-on-1 interview but not here. I wouldn't have taken the question seriously either.
I like how Tom Hardy knew exactly what he was about to ask him before he did :) .. Just goes to show the amount of times people keeping asking him .. Must piss him off so much
Someone should keep an eye on this guy, we don't want another brilliant actor getting too far into the role and losing themselves. I'm not saying that's what happened to the Joker but there was speculation as to whether his inner mental state was slipping into a Joker character he couldn't get out of. Just saying, Heath Ledger was a phenomenal actor with wife and kids, how did he die so easily and so simply?
Well as you may or may not know, Shia is quite the hot head. He picked Bar fights down here in Vancouver for no reasons, and got beaten up once. Then someone rescued him, and then he tried to fight the guy who saved him. I guess he didnt like Tom Hardy talking about all the Cars he owned, I dont know why he would pick a fight with Hardy. Hardy's a tough fucker. Harrison Ford said that Shia was a 'dipshit' - during Indiana Jones.. he should just cool down.
@TheCarlScharnberg Seriously, the amount of interviews actors go through, it can get a bit boring, tiring, or aggravating if asked the same/ similar questions over and over again. I don't blame Tom for having a little fun with it; plus i've seen some of his other interviews and he naturally is a little silly at times. That's just apart of his personality. No harm done.
hahah this is funny tom hardy has that kind of humorous personality thats awesome. people he is joking around having a good time, before this question the guy ask there was a whole interview about the movie Warrior. RELAX people hes just being humorous.
Many of us would be the same way. We would be tired of being asked the same questions regarding a movie we cannot talk about. he is just doing it in a fun and kind way. It's not like he said it angrily. Everyone knows the actors cannot talk about The Datrk Knight Rises yet they bother the poor actors either way.
Hardy is not being a douche or whatever. He is just tired of these people who keep asking him about Bane when he has explained politely in other interviews more than a million times that he is not allowed to talk about The Dark Knight Rises now. I mean, can't these people understand that?
@CLBOO6 awwww poor hardy being told hes so magnetic and charming and everyone loves you and were excited to see your new performance and your on top of the world with the new batman movie awwww poor you awwww must be hard being a millionaire awwww tough interview.........fuck id love to be in his position and i wouldnt act like a cocky swine
@KnightArkham Well, you know, obviously he's not acting like what you said he is. At least he's not saying any bad words to this interviewer like you do.
@KnightArkham Yes, I agree with that. But anyway, you know, everything just seems more wrong when a celebrity doing it, whether they swear or not. Whatever you think.
@CLBOO6 What you don't understand is that the question was simply are you ready to be the mega star of the summer with batman. It wasn't a question about the plot or anything that he can't answer
Every single interview that Hardy is doing for this film alaways turns into the interviewer's attempt to get Batman news from him. So I'm sure Hardy can be forgiven for having some fun when he knows the question is coming up.
Watch the whole interview, Tom was just being playful, having a laugh. That's just the kind of person he is, energetic and full of life. If you think he's a douche, you don't really know too much about him.
@elcap22 Yes, he did used to be an addict! Tom has been sober for like ten years, and he works for charitable events for the homeless now and kids who need a little nudge to get on the right path.
@elcap22 You're exactly right, I agree with you! If you've seen any of Tom's work, you'll know that he is a superb actor! What Heath did with the Joker was history-making, and I don't think anyone in the new installment of the series would aim to top him, cause that'd just be impossible, lol!

Wow! People actually still believe that's what drove Ledger to kill himself? So dumb.
Actors have played even more insane characters and they never went on to kill/hurt themselves.
