I always wondered how the little kids go into the attic when the fire was spreading... didn't the fire start a few stairs DOWN from the attic doorway?? Oh well, I love Pippi. Original or new version. It's a great character to have selfconfidence.

I wonder if that man from 3:57-4:09 was trying to get the "Children's Home" on fire on purpose because he dropped his cigarette on the floor and didn't step on it to put it out. I guess if he didn't mean to get the place on fire, he must have forgot to step on it to put it out. (At 4:01, when the man said "anyone up there" I wasn't sure if he heard a noise in the attic with Pippi and Greg or, if he was looking to see if someone can pass him an ash tray if someone was in the attic).

lol why did they say greg then the boy then the girl had to jump? i pretty much would have done it in the complete opposite order

Actually, I think they were telling Greg to jump while holding the boy and girl with him. Unfortunately, he fell down probably before he could grab a hold of them. (I remember him climbing out the window and shouting out loud to everyone saying "don't worry I'll save them, I'll get them out" while then saying to the boy and girl "you'll be safe." After he said that, he accidentally fell out the window. Most importantly, he should have climbed down the wall with the kids using his glue.

ok...why did he hide out in the orphanage? That confused me as a kid. Was he some kind of pervert who liked watching kids?

For one thing, he said that he was very sleepy and wanted a place to sleep (he probably couldn't find anywhere else safe to sleep and he probably didn't have any money to check into a hotel) and/or maybe he was a prisoner who escaped from jail using his glue to climb out a high window and walk down the wall. I'm guessing this because, in part 12 here on YouTube, at 0:53, he looked at a police car and all the people and then said "uh oh" and then he ran away.
