i had an amstaff who used to bark at the ants in the dirt in our backyard (because he dug up all the grass). we had to give him away because my bro was walking him and he broke free to go say high to another smaller dog and the owner kicked him in the face and he retaliated by nipping her dog. guess who got sued?? thats frickin right. i loved my amstaff and he loved everyone and i hate the people who think amstaffs are dangerous.

tejumo7 - Thanks for the comment, Staffies don't normally get tails docked, infact I don't know of any! Are you thinking of rottweilers(spelling) or boxer dogs?

As I said earlier I had a terrible oppinion of staffies thinking they would be vile and aggessive dogs... They do great in small homes, he's great around strangers, kids and is mega mega soft in nature, just like every other staffie I've ever met!

That dog gets walked for about 4 hours a day, not frustrated - he is excited and playing - making noise and lauhing because that's what you do when you play! And yes he is a full staffie

staffie is generally a very trustworthy breed of dog. Though like i said a handful have had aggression problems due to its surroundings and upbringing. The pitbull is very much prone to dog aggression. I do not trust a pitbull with other dogs never would. If it is a pitbull by itself and has a very loving and stimulating family who know how to handle a known red zone breed, then they do make great family pets.

I do not understand why people are comparing staffies to pit bulls. I have only ever come across a handful in my resue job of staffies that are aggressive, The reason why so many staffies are in rescue cos most people who own them unfortunately are lower class. I said most people.

Pit bulls are good dogs, too.

They just took the aggressive stereotype too far and kept reporting other dog attacks as pit bull attacks just to attach a breed to it, and millions die each year as a result because no one adopts them.

@catbearlol They are the best:) I have a 2 yr old girl,a rescuedog.(my 2nd)They need socializing(is that the right word?not english) with other dogs and a few rules to follow,but it`s not hard,just set some limits.Loyal,funloving,trustin­g,exelent with childeren (nanny dog) Just be prepared to be the one thats blamed for anything that might happen,so get a feel for the other dogs before letting him/her off the lead to play.Anyway,thats MY experience with staffys.Many probably disagree:)
