I like how ssb makes all the characters more realistic than usual. Also, it's kinda interesting about yoshi. They clearly took his design from the 2 super mario worlds. Is yoshi's story, he stands up straight. In the smw games, he kinda stands more like a real dinosaur. He stands like that in melee. Also his green color in melee looks like it does in smw2.

Actually, mario only had the red hat in the nes version of mario bros. In the actual arcade version, he had a blue hat. It tells all about it in my arcade game guide.

Actually that's not the arcade version of Mario Bros. but the NES port, the blue oufit of Mario comes from the Mario's color from the real arcade version.

In the N64 version, Luigi sounds like that too. The N64 did a horrible job with Luigi's voice. In Mario Party, he sounded like a teenager, and kids voice mixed... It didn't sound so well...

The GameCube REALLY should have done better. Luigi sounds like himself in OTHER GameCube games. With Charles Martinet, (Voice of Mario Characters) why couldn't he just do Luigi's voice? And In series of Smash Bros. games, Luigi looks more like Mario!

The alternative DKs look nothing alike.  the tan DK is lighter than reg and his tie becomes lavender. Blue 64 DK has a light blue tie. That was matched with a dark blue tie but he was dark gray and theirs a blue color swap with a tie different than the N64 one.

You may want to update this video, as the character designs of the characters have changed since Melee. For example, Peach dress is based on her post-2002 design, and her alternative color is based on Daisy's post-2002 design.

When you think about it Super Smash Bros Melee is a huge tribute to the Nintendo 64, its stages, character costumes, stages, and pratically everything. In my opinion Melee was the best out of the Trilogy by far. Mostly because of the effort they put into it. Brawl to me was to fast and should of been made and done slower. Its annoying how we had to deal with impatient fans to get the game out. That's why its not as good to me, because it was very rushed. The game is fun, but Melee beats it to me

No kidding. Simply put, the game wasn't finished. They kept pushing it back and back to raise anticipation, but they ended up shooting themselves in the foot by underestimating all the work they had to do, and ended up cutting characters, which is far worse than a sin in Smash Bros. world.

Plus, Melee is the only one that has Dr. Mario and Mewtwo: the ultimate pokemon!

Just so you know, Donkey Kong's costumes are not from DK64. Super Smash Bros. for N64 was released before DK64, so they came from there.

You should have used better footage of Daisy in her classic gown, such as official art from Mario Part 3. Also, using footage from Mario Gold: Toadstool Tour to represent Daisy's current gown is inappropriate as it shows Daisy in her sports clothes. It would be better to use footage from the Mario Party games.
