@MapleLeafAce One reason (for uk players anyway) when we had the smoking ban introduced the clubs just died a million deaths.

We like to sit in a club watch a band with a pint and a cig and watch a band.

Another reason is because if you don't play pop then most will not like it yet (mainly the older end who like bingo).

You could play like this to someone and they will be amazed like most on youtube but it's a different story when out in the clubs and doing it.

i'm assuming he's playing that fancy 7 (8) string (i can't tell) through a small solid state amp or maybe a nice tube amp with a low quality distortion pedal.

either way, he's good enough to play this, so he should definitely work on making his tone better now that he's got the hard part down.
