  • now you kno

  • Ooooo, champagne!

  • yep the raisin is slightly denser than the champagne so it sinks then it goes over the stream of bubbles in the middle so it goes up then out side of the stream so it sinks again

  • it looks like chipmunk poop

  • ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!!!! :D:D

  • couldve done this in sprite, its cheaper.

  • lol i just tweeted this #didyouknow fact on my twitter page @imdavidlamar

  • Boing...

  • Welcome to Raisins!

  • Thumbs up nếu các bạn đến đây từ 10 sự thật thú vị. :>:>:>

  • @losemyself287 ENGLISH PLEASE

  • Can someone provide me with a scientific explanation for this? Thank You.

  • @The3nlightened0ne champagne is basically wine which is made by grapes. when grapes get sundryed they become raisins. there is neither air or liquids in it so it is a little heavier than champagne. but as @Look2Good2Binnocent said the bubbles "lift" the raisin to the top where the bubbles pop and the raisin descends again.

  • Now that's entertainment!

  • dude......you are so hot

  • "Raisins are denser than the liquid in the soda... they sink to the bottom of the glass. The carbonated soft drink releases carbon dioxide bubbles. When these bubbles stick to the rough surface of a raisin, the raisin is lifted because of the increase in buoyancy. When the raisin reaches the surface, the bubbles pop, and the carbon dioxide gas escapes into the air. This causes the raisin to lose buoyancy and sink."

  • @Look2Good2Binnocent Just replace 'soda' with champagne, and there's your explanation.[:

  • wow shes so hot

  • I think it is funny how the girl wants this camera to stop moving and it sure does. She may have a manikin holding it now

  • 6 people thums down this video, because they wanted to

  • This creeped me out for some reason.

  • Its simple. the carbonation comes to the top in small bubbles..the wrinkled surface of the raisin catches the bubbles and floats to the surface and then the bubbles escape and it floats to the bottom again..repeat.

  • "yes it's recording. 7. 8. 9."

    why didn't he continue?!

  • I remember doing this when I was seven. And soda water works just fine too.

  • How long does it go on? I doubt it's perpetual because someone would have said something but I am still interested.

  • @xxDdt619xx It goes until the champagne goes flat. The bubbles are what lifts it up.

  • AWESOME

  • do grapes work too?

  • @tahthedon nope

  • @tahthedon nope because its the raisin's wrinkles that give this effect

****ing raisins, how do they work?

  • @rockerduff1231 raisins, how the fuck do they work?

  • @rockerduff1231 It's drunk ;P

  • Comment removed

  • @rockerduff1231 Hahaha, not that you were really looking for a great explanation, but here goes. The raisin has all those ridges (much bigger than a mentos, like with diet coke but similar enough to compare). CO2 in the champagne (or sprite, for instance) collects on the rasin until there is enough upward force to pull it up. When it breaks the surface of the champagne, the CO2 bubbles disperse and the raisin falls back down. This process continues until the carbonation is gone from the liquid.

  • @XLR8DProductions Wow! So not a good idea to put a raisin in ANY carbonated drink. Interesting! Thanks for the explanation!

  • it acumulates CO2 on itself and when it reaches the top the gas disipates (i dont know if i got the right word)...and the process repeat again and again

  • you look 5 lol

  • I was five there lol

  • @MaryAvina are you serious?? you didnt look 5 lol

  • How long does it move like that?

  • For ever or until the champagne runs out of carbonation so a long time my dear.

    hugs mary

  • shes fit!!!

  • is she drunk?

  • yes, i think she had a whole lot of that Champagne

  • I came for the raisin trick... I stayed because Mary is hot.

  • same

  • lol thanks hon

  • same

  • wow i thought it only works in a vacuum.

  • HITLON HOTEL ??

  • You are very cute

  • What a beautiful woman.

  • you are cute =)

  • thats so cool!

  • The bubbles gather around the raisin to the point where it eventually makes it light enough to float. But when it does go up it makes some of the bubbles pop so it then falls. Then it happens again.

  • It's a website, and this was on the list of top 25 things you probably never knew...so I looked it up on YouTube

  • mmm maybe I will do more from that list better go look it up

  • How many of you came here because of Entensity?
