  • This man is the bomb!!! Saw him perform in 1989 in Omaha, NE. Second row from the stage. Was able to get his autograph and pic. Yes, I went back stage.

  • Gosto muito das músicas do Dizzy, o famoso fofão, a música relaxa, e ao mesmo tempo é um clima dançante. E o legal do Jazz. Na hora que ele começa a tocar é simplesmente fascinante. Muito legal.

  • 2:58-3:02 WWWWTTTTTTFFFFFFFF

@zenith110 i got an .avi copy of this concert, just pm me

@tomdrums Dont mislead ppl if u dont know what lead trumpet is. Lead = with shallow mouthpiece, bright tone, playing very very high - not performing currently on stage. Yes - that sick player is Arturo.

  • Puffy Cheek's are( not )what you would teach beginning trumpet player's , Most brass player's are amazed he could play at all , You want your muscle,s around your lips to remain firm so the air goes through the horn not in your cheek,s,His tone is not very good , But a hole alot soul in that tone

  • Can someone explain why he puffs his cheeks so much?

  • @imgame2121 He was actually trying to be rebellious by puffing his cheeks because his teacher would always tell him not to. It was just his style.

  • Is this available ina live album on i-tunes? If not is it available anywhere else?

  • the latin players steal the show

  • just amazin.....my idol..i am a begginer trumpetee and i was just inspired by this man...thumbs upopi if you like my comment

  • is this Arturo Sandoval on lead trumpet?

  • @Prettlera no, its dizzy gillespie

  • You ROCK Dizzy Gillespie!!!!! Keep playing

  • I found this Performance on VHS at a Dollar store....I'm SO glad I bought this!

I'm a huge fan of Airto and Ignacio (yes I'm a drummer lol) so when I saw them on this performance I freaked out! "OMG I GOT THIS ENTIRE THING FOR A DOLLAR!!!!"

  • As unbelievable , and as amazing these musicians are there is still 19 dislikes ??? these 19 stupid idiots know nothing about music .They have no bussines here ! they must be rap , or hipop listeners where you dont need any musical skills ; other that high tech equipment , and an idiot screaming rhymes that make no sense once or ever ! thats music for the idiot youngsters of today !

  • Sod like....LOVE option sadly unavailable! Like 'll do/Max respect Captain Joshie

  • Es increíble!!! que trombones!!!

  • BEST SAX SOLO OF ALL TIME. paquito is just the greatest

  • @KingDA25 I agree with you king.... Paquito is wonderfullll... Amazing solo!

  • vote for pedro in the congas

  • I don't much care for Dizzy's tone. Maybe it's the famous "puffed cheeks" thing, but it just doesn't sound good to me. But before I get assaulted on here, I'll say that I certainly don't deny the major influence he's had on the way a trumpet (and music in general) is played today. I am a trumpet player myself. Nevertheless, his tone doesn't do much for my ear.

  • @leokasper7107 Dude hes just old in that video, you need to hear him when he was on his prime, and hear the lines he does while improvising.

  • Супер!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dizzy is the best. Arturo is a monster with those high notes.

  • @SamTheCow I totally agree with you... People do not understand what good music is..

  • @powderdd Hahahaha!

  • trying to write a comment .. but i can't really find words worthy enough to describe the feeling you get just by listening to them play and watch their joy from the music ..THANK YOU ^^
