The people saying a new card wont make much difference in TF2 are full of shit. I was getting 40-60 fps on my old card and upgraded to a 4890. Now I get close to 170.

It made a difference for me.

but it wont make as much of a diff then a newer CPU would. if u have a intel P4 and u get a dual core ur looking at a good 20-50FPS increase on ave. from a quad to a I5 or I7 then ur looking at a good 10-30 FPS increase. a new GPU can give u maybe 5-10 FPS better tops thats if u werent already maxing the game out.

Yeah, I can run it maxed on a GeForce 9600 GT. I think a high powered ATi HD 4770 would do it just fine :)

you gys need a good cpu. This game is cpu intensive and not gpu[grraphics] get a good cpu and youre ready to go. you can throw in any low end-mid eng video card.

what you need to play online without lagg is a bigfoot killer nic k1 network card.... its not just like "any" network card... google it and you find out that this WILL remove all the lag... its expencive but you will lose all lag and its 70% true because of what system you have(it wont reduce lag if youre system cant play hl2... if it does without lag and tf2 lag this network card does remove the lag)

ok i went out and bought a laptop with 3 gigs of ram and an ati 3200 2.1 ghz dual core, and this game runs at a decent pace as long as you dont turn the graphics ALL the way up.
