  • One of the Great singer,s

  • Huh? 2 dislikes? The dim duo.

  • To ab4rereleaseCspray, If you think this is great listen to Mario's recording of The Lord's Prayer from the movie Because you're mine, the line "Hallowed be thy name" in particular, he sings this with one breath and he sustains the line magnificently totally unbelievable, this is without a doubt the greatest tenor voice of the 20th century.

  • This truck driver from West Phillie was a genius. Thank you Mario for your angelic voice, I will remember of you for forever and forever!

  • @58 seconds, how does Lanza sustain his voice for so long when seemingly in the lead up he had no opportunity to pause for breath. Try it and see what I mean.

    What Lungs, What Genius.

  • If I could pick only 5 records towards the sountrack of my life, this would be one of 'em. What a fantastic voice, thanks for posting. Wonderful.

  • One of the greatest songs Loved the movie to great voice

  • What a great man and singer we used to play this in our mess in Germany and sing it at the top of our voices lucky Mario could not hear us the poor guy would turn in his grave

  • LOVE THIS ONE an oldie i remember my dad singing -thanks for posting the beginning jimy -never knew what they were saying. Thanks again for posting

  • I never forgot you Grandad.

  • Ha! You are dammed right!! My father played his music at every moment he could and I recall saying to myself, If I listen to Mario Lanza I hope someone shoots me! Well, just like my dad did, now so am I.....with earphones on just in case someone remembers what I said way back 40 years or so ago!

  • manoddy: Mario was a very difficult man with a temper like an Atom bomb. His film roles dried up as no Director wanted to work with him. He had a history of being abusive to restaurant staff as well.

  • @snuffy3002 With a voice like that he could do whatever he wanted as far as I'm concerned.

    A genius.

  • What a shame he didn't played the role in the film!!!I I'm still not sure what happend?????

  • @manoddy

Unfortunately, in a word, pasta. He was a runaway success in 'the Great Caruso', but went a bit nuts, and the Hollywood casting people decided he had eaten too much to be a credible leading man.

  • A romantic song

    Relaxing with friends

    Perhaps a Saturday night?

    Full of expectations,

Man meets a girl, Girl meets a man,

    celebrations.........happiness!

But the POWER of mario's voice.....overwhelms. WOW!

  • Did gomer pyle sing this?

  • @JSW999999 Gomer Pyle sang this with his Marine platoon chorus in the Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. episode named: Just Move Your Lips, Sergeant. This is located in the fifth and final season of the show.

  • wow amazing

  • Yeah when i was a teenager in the 50's we all went out for Pizza in my home town, Chicago and it was on the juke box also and we kept playing it over and over again! Every Italian Pizza place in Chicago had it on the juke box and sadly we where to young to drink beer in 1956 but could drive that year!

  • cock on kid.

  • foarte frumos cantec

  • 50年近く前の高校時代を思い出します。フェスティバルホールで江利チエミさんのマイフェアレディーも授業をさぼって観に行きました。学生王子といえば、セレナーデは聞けないのでしょうか。

  • as an italian i would love to have the voice as good as the grea mario lanza

  • Our family were brought uo with the Student prince, and this track was a personal favourite of Dads so it was only fitting this was paid at his internment especially as he never lost his zest for life or a beer. It makes me smile when I hear this song as I think of those good times
