  • Great Film

  • I saw The scene when they meet at a bar and he wants her back, but she had a date. I saw it yesterday during my English class and now I really want to see the whole movie! seems pretty interesting!

  • I love this film

    I'm 13

  • really nice movie.. and I also like the end remarks "I love you!".... "shut up and deal" :))

  • haha i heard of this on .hack//SIGN xD

  • "No sir, it's very un-fair.. 'specially to your WIFE!"

the delivery is absolutely fantastic :D

  • great movie! ((:

  • good stuff

  • One of my favourite movies :)

  • Apartment??? What?? That means signing a lease! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • What a classy movie this was

  • The second punch was a bloopeer. It was real. He didn't turn his head and Shriley's expression was a reaction to the blooper.

  • Jack Lemmon's Best Performances:

    1. Save the Tiger (1973)

    2. Days of Wine and Roses (1962)

    3. The Apartment (1960)

    4. Some Like It Hot (1959)

    5. The Odd Couple (1968)

  • @cinemapsycho91

He was way better in China Sydrome then in Some Like It Hot.

Maybe he was even better in that movie then he was in the Appartment.

He is a much underrated actor.

  • @schusterlehrling That's your opinion and you're entitled to it, but I do think that these are the movies that just changed his life.

  • They just don't make em like this anymore...well they do....just not nearly as well :)

  • just watched this film today loved it shirley mclaine is magic

  • This film puts me in a unique trance every time. Absolutely filled with love this is.

  • lemmon was never not over the top.

everything he did was too much and off the mark

what would he have done had he not been born in the mccarthy era?

had daddy support him for the rest of his life.

  • I love Shirley Maclaine. This is what I read about her and I think it sums it up so well: "she's funny even when handed lines that ought to fall flat, can break your heart when required, and only has to let those weirdly enthralling eyes get a hint of moisture to have you ready to follow her anywhere."

  • I told my Mom about this movie, I told her "You would never believe Fred MacMurray as a womanizer" I love anything jack Lemmon and Shirley Maclaine are in. And that song from the movie is pretty.

  • I saw that for the first time on HBO yesterday. I LOVED it! I want to see it again.

  • @Sheri451 omg me too.

  • OMG. This is the movie that Promises, Promises is based on! Cheno & Sean Hayes do a great job with portraying the characters in this movie :)

  • "Women who date married me shouldn't wear mascara".....one of the best lines ever. What a great film.

  • I just love Shirley. Wasn't it great how they hyped up movies back then? It made you want to see it, without spoiling the whole damn plot.

  • @ameristar Yeah, but at least they don't show you the ending at the start of trailers now.

  • When I saw this movie, I put Billy Wilder in my list of all time favorite movie directors.

  • do all apartment pays rent?

  • it was voted on channel4 as no 2 movie to see before you die, city of god was at number 3 and apocalypse now was at no 1

  • @themightyjoseph Well if Channel 4 says so.

  • Larry's best picture. The Apartment

  • This movie is wonderful! I just love it soo much ^_^

  • She was so pretty at that age......I got the film just to gaze at her, the film was good too but why in black and white in the 60s

  • @ronald2394 You're right, she was just adorable. Have you seen What a way to go? She' s gorgeous in that one too - although that movie is not so good.

  • Certainly one of my favourite films of all time.

  • Comment removed

  • I love this movie! Shirley and Jack are great! :-)

  • The question is why they put the very last scene in the movie right into the trailer.

  • You wouldn't know it was though. Lame trailer. So basically he pimps out his apartment? :D

  • great movie

  • This film is SO much better, funnier, and more touching than this trailer makes it seem!

  • 【アパートの鍵貸】

  • This Billy Wilder film is special..because..it's not just a

romantic comedy? It's a commentary about perverse and corrupt business

execs using people to get what they want and how two

people in the business world cannot be corrupted.

  • The very best film ever.

    Thanks for this trailer

  • The Apartment is my favorite film of all time.

  • cool, i have to see this one :D

  • I love jack lemmon :)

  • this trailer isn't that informative almost worse then some of the trailers they show now. tell they may have known how to make wonderful movies but they didn't know how to show them off. now in the 80s even the mediocre movies had trailers that made them look good.

  • Billy Wilder was such a mensch. Whenever I watch his work I feel we lost such a great personality in 2002. Oh how I would have loved to talked and joked with such an amazingly talented person.....

  • Love Jack Lemmon - and Billy Wilder, so this is just about the perfect fim.

  • Everything in this movie is awesome.

  • Why Ruin The End Of The Movie At The Start Of The Trailer? I Don't Like Trailers

I Absolutely Adore This Film Though One Of My All Time Favorites My Second Favorite Billy Wilder Film Behind Some Like It Hot You Know Something? I'm Going To Watch The Apartment Right Now

What The Hell It's 11:26 Pm But Who Cares Right? "Shut Up And Play The Movie"

  • this movie is amazing !

  • My favorite movie

  • lol its funny how they promote the actors and directors in the trailers. it actually makes me want to watch the movies more!

  • trailer shows last scene at the first place!

love the movie and don't like the trailer very much

  • Horrible trailer (like most of the trailers for movies). It doesn't do this film justice. I just saw this movie for the first time only today. Terrific cast, story, music, everything. I rate Some Like It Hot as my all time favorite movie. I've adored The Fortune Cookie for 40+ years. Billy Wilder and I.A.L. Diamond wrote terrific screenplays. Thanks for posting.

  • I saw this film today and this trailer does it no justice. A great film. Lemmon and Maclaine should have both won oscars for this.

  • "shut up and deal" Best closing line ever?

  • No The Greatest Closing Line Ever Was From Another Brilliant Billy Wilder Film

Some Like It Hot In Which Joe.E Brown Says To Jack Lemmon When He Reveals His True Self " Nobodys Perfect "

  • dum.!

  • wow this is me and mt bros movie

  • Wilder was great and really quite daring. This movie was more honest and open-minded about sexuality than most American movies at the time. Some Like it Hot is even more daring.

  • thats my favourite movie!

  • I love the music from this movie!

  • shirley mac laine, audery hepburn, myrna loy, laureen bacall, jacqueline sassard, brigitte bardot, virna lisi, catherine spaak....

  • One of the best movies of all time! Also, see these: "The Shop Around the Corner", "Captain Blood" and "Stalag 17"---more oldies but goodies.

  • What an awful trailer! Amazing movie, but cmon, it would spoil the whole thing and tells you nothing of the plot! Can't believe the END is what they show you first! Argh!

  • I totally agree - old movie trailers are almost always awful!

  • I wish I had that movie on tape so I could see it right now.- It's a brilliant film!.- Thanks so much for the clip!

  • c.c. baxter is the man!
