As a CG Artist myself I was able to pick up on the CGness pretty quickly...First thing that gave it away, right at the start when the helicopter zooms passed a footprint. there was actually the foot print firework, but it covered too much of an area to be filmed by camera, so they decided to demonstrate this with CGI instead

actually the olympic committee themselves declared that what we saw on tv was fake, there actually was footprint fireworks in real life, but the committee deemed it unsafe for the helicopter to fly over the fireworks like that so they created a computer simulated for-tv-only version
were you there? FUCKING MORON. well i was, and while i was being entertained by this awesome display you were probably sitting at home scratching your hairy ass wishing your life wasnt a fucking joke bitch.
There were these fireworks, I was in beijing and I could see them going past on Chang AN street. Apparently they couldn't film it live since the helicopter would've gotten shot down by the fireworks or something.
No one star on the sky...it was pollution..or fake? The TVs said that to catch the awesome fireworks with helicopters might be very dangerous so they made them with computers but, all them happened on real life.
The fireworks are real. I was in Tiananmen square, and at least 10 went over my head. You want a shot from a helicopter right above fireworks? Be my guest, go fly the helicopter.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
It's been officially admitted that the footprint fireworks are nothing but fakes. Chinese want to make fool of the world but instead, it reveals their inferiority.
i have no idea what canada's gonna do for 2010 after this.. probably have a snowball fight and a giant barbecue haha..
it's just wrong though.. being the first ones after beijing is like having the smartest kid in the class go first- all the others just look dumb in comparison.
Actually, it's not the country that's forcing them to go to training. It's the parents who push their children that's the problem. And in most cases the family is poor and the income provided helps them live more comfortably. And it's no worse then what's going on here with child beauty pagents and parents who force kids into show business or sports. At least over there it's for the betterment of the family and not for the vanity of the parent.
Yes. 4 year old Chinese are still better than 4 year old westerner who grew up from dysfunctional divorced family. Either your bastard dad or whore mom cheated each others, that's why u felt like half orphan.
I was there. The fireworks were amazing. I can account for it. I don't have any problem with the pre-recording because I know how long and hard the Chinese worked to make it perfect. I think we should at least show them some respect for that...
It is true firework, but for safety of helicopter camera and helicopter can't catch the steps of firework, therefore, what they show on TV is partly CG
I don't see what's the big deal with them faking it for TV audiences. As a viewer I'm glad they CGI'd it instead of having some crappy camera angle that doesn't take it all in appreciation...and further more, they actually did it, but didn't film it from the air because it's too dangerous. That's plenty reasonable.
Thing is, NBC didn't TELL us they were computer-generated. We were, in a sense, lied to. Same with that little girl who sung that song...they knew it was being lip-synched, and didn't tell us.
why ruin the illusion? what do we as the viewers have to gain by knowledge that things are less than what they appeared...sometimes it's fun to just enjoy what we're seeing.
Uh yeah, until you're watching illusions like calm city streets where in reality riots are occurring, war zones where attacks on civilians are portrayed as attacks on troops, operating room videos that show your loved one being treated properly instead of the malpractice that actually occurred... etc.
Take a moment to think about and cherish the right to free and ACCURATE speech that we have in this country - NEVER accept the premise that it is worth sacrificing the truth for the sake of "fun".
I love china because she is my motherland, and i feel happy to live ,the life is not easy in all the coutry, isn't it?happiness, that's enough,i study in france ,but all my classmates want to back to china after our school work,i don't think it's sooo important that what the foreigners say, because getting accustomed to other culture is not a easy thing, they have their right to explain.
did you understand what they said in the video? It was no fake. China is the inventor of fireworks. China doesnt need to fake it, it was all real. China spent billions on this project, why would they hesitate using CG when they could use fireworks.
dude you must be blind. Do you even know what CGI is? Its called computer generated. The footprints arent computer generated effects. Its a recorded video, of the footprints fireworks. China recorded before opening of the oympics to avoid weather conditions. Get your terms right,
again mate DO YOUR F*ING RESEARCH BEFORE EVEN REPLYING TO MY MESSAGE. YES I KNOW WHAT CGI IS YOU FOOL I AM A GRAPHIC DESIGNER AND MEDIA PROGRAMMER,So before patronising me take a look at the facts. One of the CGI programmers came forward and admitted that it was CGI and it was splashed all over the news months after the olympics. As soon as i saw it "Live" on tv i knew it was done by CGI. So stop making a fool out of yourself, and think before you type. Arrogent little canadian
Remember Genocide in Darfur. The rest of the world will never forget nor forgive this disgusting crime against hUmanity by PRC. Not only BBC and CNN but even AlJazeera TV strongly condemns disgusting crimes against humanity by Chinese regime and its people in the 21st century.
This so-called water shortage problem is the same, China will find a way to solve it and go ahead, if you don't believe me, take a look on China 20 yrs from now, see if China would crack up b/c water problem.
In the early 90s, many experts also predicted China would split up very soon b/c China's overpopulation, and there would be not engouh grain to feed them. But nearly 20 years later, China solves many ppl's foodgrain problem and still growing strong.
This so-called water shortage problem is the same, China will find a way to solve it and go ahead.
Your comment is based on ur hope & overlooking facts. China has over 100 million ppl in extreme poverty, also unregistered children b/c of the goverment`s one-child policy.Officially China`s ppl is around 1300 million but it doesn`t include homeless ppl & unregistered kids.THey say if they were added, the number will be easily break 1400 milliom. Why can U say China solves many ppl`s foodgrain problem?Country itself won`t split I think, but ppl`s life standard will definitely go lower.
Yes, China solves many ppl's foodgrain problem. This is according to United Nations' Report, not my imagination.
and Yes, China still has ppl in poverty, but compared with the population that have been lifted out of poverty, the percentage of those still in dilemma is small, and poverty is a problem that exists everywhere, even USA, the most powerful country, still has lots of ppl live in ghetto.
I don`t think 100 million ppl in poverty are not the small percentage though. And UNICEF reported there are countless unregistered kids who has no picture of life. The number is still not known-some say 100 mlln & other says 50 mllns. They cannot receive education,or social status. What their future going to be like..I read the news of this woman who had 2 children was imprisoned & tortured. Anyway the list goes on & on & on..
If present situation is not reversed, the World Bank forecasts that by 2020 there will be 30 million eviromental refugees in China due to water stress. With 20% of the world`s ppl but only 7% of wtr global resources,China meets w/ a severe challenge. Also this leads to a fight between rural interests, urban interests & industrial interests on who gets wtr in China. Also due to bad wtr, waterborne diseases have created a rising number of premature deaths in China
they were real, but because of the fact that they wudn't be able to catch them that well on a helicopter, they decided to use a cgi clip, only the last one seen on TV was real. i don't have a problem with this because.. they WERE there in real life, and this was meant to entertain, and it did its job.
i'm not denying that it wasn't real.. it was THERE in real life, but for TV.. they used the cgi animation instead, and plus... they did a good job animating it. think about it... look at the weather beijing the day of opening ceremony and then look at the video... the only real one shown on TV was the last one.
the footprints did happen there. it was just on TV using computerized graphics because it wouldn't be clear enough and would be too dangerous for the helicopter. i was there. i saw the footprints launch. the last three on TV were real.
For all of you out there yapping about using a chopper to follow the "foot prints", here's some simple math to shut ur yapper. The steps started at Tian'anmen and end at bird nest in 29 steps, average about 2~3 sec/step giving a totally time of less than 90sec. The distance between Tian'anmen and bird nest is around 10km(6.3mile). This need the chopper to fly at ~450km/h(280mph). While within the reach of some faster ones, it is WAY TO FAST for TV ones, not to consider the timing etc.
The smartest Chinese tech team with its country prestige at stake took one whole year to make a mere minute image...and this cheap-looking CGI that anybody can see it is fake.. If they were in Hollywood they would be fired immediately lol!
ummmmm.. dunno why u said that but i have to say they weren't fake cuz at that time, i lived in a chinese family that was very close to the Central Rd, and I saw those fireworks clearly.
Inferior complext? That's totally bullshit. Culturally, China has over 5,000 years of culture, how many years of culture has Japan got? Economically, up to 1850, China was still a major power in the world, many western diplomats had to kneel down before China's emperor in meetings.
On the other hand, up to 1850, Japan was still a piece of shit in the world.
In my opinion, Japan is a much worse terrible place to live. There are so many earthquakes in Japan, it seems never to stop, in July, one of my friends went to Japan, when she landed from the plane, there was earthquake going on, she immediately got on the next plane to return home, without any staying in Japan.
Earthquakes in China are much more deadly.Sichuan earthquake in May killed 69181 people, 18498 are missing, and 374171 were injured. The biggest earthquake that Japan recently had was Hanshin-kobe earthquake which 6437 people&43792 injured.Earthquake is a scary thing but Chinese houses especially in a country are cheaply built b/c of the corrupt&greed of construction companies and that aggravated the disaster. This massive toll were more of human disaster especially when we speak of China.
The CGI illustration of the footprint fireworks was a fantastically complex animation done by a large number of digital artists over a long period of time, it would have been alot cheaper to do it for real versus by CGI. China really had everybody's best interests at heart. They were trying to give everyone an amazing event as best as possible, while still doing it safely, not risking the life of the helicopter pilot. China should be given credit for this rather than condemnation.
Now u r getting silly.China did all of this for the sake of making their face to the world, not necessarily having everybody`s best interest at heart. They`ve got to this
Olympic ceremony perfect b/c they wanted to appeal to the world that they are no more one of the third world. The developed nations
see China as a poor, unhygienic, culturally behind nation and also China have a terrible reputation of their bad-quality products such as poisened milk, toy painted with lead, poisened medicine(next)
I think China was having everybody's interests at heart, because, if not for the safety of the helicopter pilot, China could simply showed the footprints exploding, no need to make a CGI version, which was more expensive due to a lot more manpower, technicians and time needed for that. So China put the safety of the helicopter pilot into consideration, while doing a CGI version to illustrate what's happening in Beijing.
200 years ago, Japan was a poor, uncivilized country, it was until 100 years later, in the beginning of 20th century, Japan was accepted by the world as an advanced country.
China was regarded as inferior in the 20th century, but not any more in the 21st century. For example, Beijing Olympics has demonstrated its sophisticated organizational and logistics capabilities, its first class infrastructure earned praise around the world.
IOC honornary president Samaranch claimed Beijing Olympics to be the best olympics ever, IPC president Philip Craven also praised Beijing paralympics as the greatest games ever.
Did he actually make a comparison & said Beijing was better than Atlanta or Athen? No. He merely livened up the atmosphere. And he didn`t need to comment on them b/c they already hosted several olympics.nobody took his word "best" seriously except somebody like u.Now people are forgetting that.
as quoted by Mexican daily El Sol de Mexico, Samaranch said,"I have attended many Olympic Games since Helsinki 1952, Finland and the ones of Beijing 2008 have been the best I have ever seen."
I think few people took his words seriously..Major medias in North America,Japan,Korea & Europe didn`t actually praise Beijing but rather critical of that. They focused on terrible air pollution & bad water, lip synching, fake fireworks, bad mannered audience smoking in stadium & littering brazenly. One news says now one of these stadiums are filled w/ garbages & people pee & poo there b/c of lack of public toilet. What a fantastic event that was eh?
The the air pollution problem was solved during the Olympics. The so-called fake fireworks were actually real. Lip synching was no big deal, many countries does that.
Bad water, bad mannered audience, lack of public toilet so ppl pee & poo were simply out of nowhere, you made that up, this shows the lying nature of Japanese. You fabricated these because you are jealous of the tremendous success of the Beijing Olympics.
I commented these based on the news sources from US,Canada,Germany & Jpn.Regarding ppl pee&poo thing,I said "one news says NOW one of these.." I am not talking stadiums back in summer but stadiums NOW.People r sneaking in & got a wash in former facility b/c of shortage of public toilet.I read it in MSN Japan quoting HongKong news w/ photos..In my view it is a failure of ur nerve to hastily conclude it was a lie & back away from something simply b/c u think the facts has unwelcome taste.
Beijing is not India, Beijing does not lack of public toilets, and the stadium is meters tall and locked from the outside, how can ppl sneak in? and even ppl can sneak in, they have to do that with a lot of effort and time, how can ppl afford those effort and time when they're in emergency to go to a washroom?
Besides, there are already several public toilets near every stadium, ppl can go there if necessary, they don't have to try climbing and risk being caught.
This rumour is made up by you, a jealous Japanese, to badmoutch China, unless you can provide the web link to this source with credibility.
One example regarding air pollution..MOre than 25 countries set up offshore training in Japan to avoid the pollution,& they ordered atheletes arrive at the games as late as possible to limit exposure to pollution.E`n t`h strict emergency pollution controls were introduced,by 28 of July China Daily reported Beijing` skies remained alarmingly polluted & authorities were considering emergency mesures during Games. Now air in Beijing is polluted 2 to 3 times higher than levels deemed safe by WHO.
Before the Olympics, many were worried about the air pollution in Beijing, but the air pollution gone with the heavy rain occurred two days after the opening ceremony.
I don`t think air pollution are completely gone w/ a mere heavy rain. I remember the news in Canada in the middle of August they sent investigators to Beijing & reported Beijing`s air is still polluted compared to the safe standard of Canada,& they showed worry for Canadian atheletes.
And now the air in Beijing are polluted again.MOre than 2 to 3 times higher the levels deemed safe by WHO.
I read several olympic news articles focusing on bad water.According to the survey of WHO & UNICEF,77% of ppl in China cannot access to clean wtr. That means more than 300 mlln ppl.
Things r worse in country.Only 28% can get sanitary wtr. Also UNICEF inspected wtr from 11 provinces & found more than half of their samples were polluted w/ high density of bacteria from feces. That includes Beijing wtr. The report says they highly worry about the terrible enviromental situation in China
Because China's the manufacture hub for the world, so there's the pollution problem.
When Japan heavily manufactured products, Japan also suffered from heavy pollution, and there're lots of diseases in Japan such as Minamata disease, Niigata Minamata disease, Yokkaichi Asthma, and Itai-itai disease. Even nowadays, Japan's greenhouse gas emissions still surge to high level, emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases blamed for global warming spike 2.3 percent to 1.37 billion tons.
Hybrid car is first made by Japan. Japan participated much of the eniromental conference such as hosting Kyoto protocols.Looks who`s talking.China`s greenhouse gas emissions are one of world`s highest. And majority of ur cars r still old model, blasting gases.2006.11.15 NNA news says 77.1% of cars made in China mulfunctioned by 6 months. Cheaply made cars blaasting gases..HOw can u got a nerve to even compare car & gas subject to Japan?
I believe China cars are not as good as Italian or German cars, but I think it's nonsense that 77% of China cars malfunction by 6 months. Because in the recent years, the export of China cars are largely increasing, if the China cars are that bad, the number of export of China cars will not be hugely increasing b/c many countries would simply cancel the order.
There are also drawbacks for hybrid cars. Hybrid car tends to accelerate at a slower speed when compared to gasoline vehicles. you have to replace batteries of the hydrid car at on completing 80,000 miles. So the cost is pretty high, and those batteries also cause harm to the environment in some way.
Car companies in Japan alreday undertook producing & developing more advanced type of eco-cars. Right now,due to increacing gas price hybrid cars r getting more popular.Of course it has its own problems but where can we find a perfect car? Car authorities say hybrid tech will be a major one until the next generation of eco car will be introduced to the market
Because of the global economic setback right now,China is getting less & less work from developed nations. Also Japanese enterprises has been shifting their subcontraction companies from China to Vietnam,Malaysia, Indonesia or Thailand. China is the manufacture hub for the world until now, but they are gradually getting out of work now.Already the rate of unemployment in China is rising sharply.Let`s see if China will find its way as u r hoping
Several yrs ago, China already hoped to depend less on export, and to stimulate more domestic demand. The global financial recession gives China the right opportunity to try to live with less export, and more internal demand.
China has long hoped to depend more on itself, less and less from foreign enterprises. and Now is the right time for China to do that.
China has long been dependent on foreign enterprises for its ecomony. But they are losing them b/c of global economic recession.
I think it would not be an oppotunity as u said but more of a damage to China that they are losing so many jobs for ppl.And global economy recession affects China too,the price of houses in many cities in China are jumping high as one examle.Of course this is not a problem of China alone, but there r so many factors in China not to be optimistic for the future.
You are American? Give me a shit! You are a Chink in disguise. Why you lie? Because you are too shameful being a Chinese, right? That`s why you gave all the shits about Japan in your account. You little loser
dental fluorosis b/c of high consentration of water fluoridation, also 1 million ppl got skeletal fluorosis.Majority of ppl in country uses wells b/c of the poor infrastructure of wtr supply of the country, but ground wtr is polluted w/ high density of industrial waste & sewage.Enviromant Agency of China says 60% of the rivers & lakes are not suitable for drinking & almost 800 mlln ppl cannot have hygienic living conditions.
The report worried about the health risks for the atheletes & said conditions regarding water in China is worse than India`s.Also Leading Chinese enviromental activist Ma Jun says 400 out of 600 cities in China r facing water shortages to varying degrees, including 30 out of the 32 largest cities. The World Bank reported the per capita
wtr volume in China is one fourth of the world average,& as a result of wtr pollution 700 mlln ppl drink contaminated wtr every day.U still say I`m lying?

and i can tell, the footprint fireworks REALLY HAPPENED, i saw about 5-6 while i was at Tiananmen Square.

we all do.

yes by all means its naturall to force 4 year olds into training so they can win gold for the country.
boxingisbest 2 years ago
thats off the subject
ericvannynatten 2 years ago
no because thats a part of what china does to make themself look better than every other country
they take 4 year olds and force them into training so that the other countrys where the kids start training by themself at age 6 wont have a chance
boxingisbest 2 years ago
well, thats there problem, many things they do in china are wrong, but they also do wrong in every country in the world, it´s still a great show

Are Caucasians stronger in any achievements in terms of academy, sports, arts, cultures ...?
Read history. China has 5000 years history. And was superpower so many centuries. The time when Caucasians not even civilized, except Rome.
smartgirlfat 2 years ago
Actually, it's not the country that's forcing them to go to training. It's the parents who push their children that's the problem. And in most cases the family is poor and the income provided helps them live more comfortably. And it's no worse then what's going on here with child beauty pagents and parents who force kids into show business or sports. At least over there it's for the betterment of the family and not for the vanity of the parent.

beautiful fireworks, china really did a great job with the show!
Laucheehung 3 years ago 6
I don't see what's the big deal with them faking it for TV audiences. As a viewer I'm glad they CGI'd it instead of having some crappy camera angle that doesn't take it all in appreciation...and further more, they actually did it, but didn't film it from the air because it's too dangerous. That's plenty reasonable.
Emininity 3 years ago 3
Thing is, NBC didn't TELL us they were computer-generated. We were, in a sense, lied to. Same with that little girl who sung that song...they knew it was being lip-synched, and didn't tell us.
jetboy33 3 years ago
why ruin the illusion? what do we as the viewers have to gain by knowledge that things are less than what they appeared...sometimes it's fun to just enjoy what we're seeing.

OrcaineKode 3 years ago
dude you must be blind.

Two facts:
1. Foot prints people saw on TV are CGI as it was too dangerous for the helicopter to fly over the area during the real display.

Why can U say China solves many ppl`s foodgrain problem?Country itself won`t split I think, but ppl`s life standard will definitely go lower.
koikejumei 3 years ago
Yes, China solves many ppl's foodgrain problem. This is according to United Nations' Report, not my imagination.
and Yes, China still has ppl in poverty, but compared with the population that have been lifted out of poverty, the percentage of those still in dilemma is small, and poverty is a problem that exists everywhere, even USA, the most powerful country, still has lots of ppl live in ghetto.
rcteob 3 years ago
OK let`s see what the future holds...

Xiangyu317 3 years ago
the footprints did happen there. it was just on TV using computerized graphics because it wouldn't be clear enough and would be too dangerous for the helicopter. i was there. i saw the footprints launch. the last three on TV were real.
eddie15467 3 years ago
For all of you out there yapping about using a chopper to follow the "foot prints", here's some simple math to shut ur yapper. The steps started at Tian'anmen and end at bird nest in 29 steps, average about 2~3 sec/step giving a totally time of less than 90sec. The distance between Tian'anmen and bird nest is around 10km(6.3mile). This need the chopper to fly at ~450km/h(280mph). While within the reach of some faster ones, it is WAY TO FAST for TV ones, not to consider the timing etc.

StevevBrown 3 years ago
Earthquakes in China are much more deadly.Sichuan earthquake in May killed 69181 people, 18498 are missing, and 374171 were injured. The biggest earthquake that Japan recently had was Hanshin-kobe earthquake which 6437 people&43792 injured.Earthquake is a scary thing but Chinese houses especially in a country are cheaply built b/c of the corrupt&greed of construction companies and that aggravated the disaster. This massive toll were more of human disaster especially when we speak of China.

Doing a CGI illustration of the footprint fireworks is much more EXPENSIVE than simply broadcasting the LIVE ones.
ChelseaGA 3 years ago
The CGI illustration of the footprint fireworks was a fantastically complex animation done by a large number of digital artists over a long period of time, it would have been alot cheaper to do it for real versus by CGI. China really had everybody's best interests at heart. They were trying to give everyone an amazing event as best as possible, while still doing it safely, not risking the life of the helicopter pilot. China should be given credit for this rather than condemnation.
ChelseaGA 3 years ago
Now u r getting silly.China did all of this for the sake of making their face to the world, not necessarily having everybody`s best interest at heart. They`ve got to this
Olympic ceremony perfect b/c they wanted to appeal to the world that they are no more one of the third world. The developed nations
see China as a poor, unhygienic, culturally behind nation and also China have a terrible reputation of their bad-quality products such as poisened milk, toy painted with lead, poisened medicine(next)
guiwyehj 3 years ago
I think China was having everybody's interests at heart, because, if not for the safety of the helicopter pilot, China could simply showed the footprints exploding, no need to make a CGI version, which was more expensive due to a lot more manpower, technicians and time needed for that. So China put the safety of the helicopter pilot into consideration, while doing a CGI version to illustrate what's happening in Beijing.
ChelseaGA 3 years ago
China was regarded as inferior in the 20th century, but that's the past story, China will become a very powerful nation in the 21st century.
Generally, China's products are good, despite some problematic products, the ratio of the problematic products to good products is quite low.
Japan also got bad-quality products..., such as Sony notebook, overheat to scald many customers.
bubjule 3 years ago
Things are changing, and changing fast.
StevevBrown 3 years ago
IOC honornary president Samaranch claimed Beijing Olympics to be the best olympics ever, IPC president Philip Craven also praised Beijing paralympics as the greatest games ever.
StevevBrown 3 years ago
They are just diplomatic. That`s all.
koikejumei 3 years ago
Why didn't Samaranch claim Atlanta 1996 and Athens 2004 to be the best ever then?
rcteob 3 years ago
Did he actually make a comparison & said Beijing was better than Atlanta or Athen? No. He merely livened up the atmosphere. And he didn`t need to comment on them b/c they already hosted several olympics.nobody took his word "best" seriously except somebody like u.Now people are forgetting that.
koikejumei 3 years ago
as quoted by Mexican daily El Sol de Mexico, Samaranch said,"I have attended many Olympic Games since Helsinki 1952, Finland and the ones of Beijing 2008 have been the best I have ever seen."
rcteob 3 years ago
I think few people took his words seriously..Major medias in North America,Japan,Korea & Europe didn`t actually praise Beijing but rather critical of that. They focused on terrible air pollution & bad water, lip synching, fake fireworks, bad mannered audience smoking in stadium & littering brazenly. One news says now one of these stadiums are filled w/ garbages & people pee & poo there b/c of lack of public toilet. What a fantastic event that was eh?
koikejumei 3 years ago
The the air pollution problem was solved during the Olympics. The so-called fake fireworks were actually real. Lip synching was no big deal, many countries does that.
Bad water, bad mannered audience, lack of public toilet so ppl pee & poo were simply out of nowhere, you made that up, this shows the lying nature of Japanese. You fabricated these because you are jealous of the tremendous success of the Beijing Olympics.
rcteob 3 years ago
I commented these based on the news sources from US,Canada,Germany & Jpn.Regarding ppl pee&poo thing,I said "one news says NOW one of these.." I am not talking stadiums back in summer but stadiums NOW.People r sneaking in & got a wash in former facility b/c of shortage of public toilet.I read it in MSN Japan quoting HongKong news w/ photos..In my view it is a failure of ur nerve to hastily conclude it was a lie & back away from something simply b/c u think the facts has unwelcome taste.
koikejumei 3 years ago
Beijing is not India, Beijing does not lack of public toilets, and the stadium is meters tall and locked from the outside, how can ppl sneak in? and even ppl can sneak in, they have to do that with a lot of effort and time, how can ppl afford those effort and time when they're in emergency to go to a washroom?
rcteob 3 years ago
Besides, there are already several public toilets near every stadium, ppl can go there if necessary, they don't have to try climbing and risk being caught.

The report says they highly worry about the terrible enviromental situation in China
koikejumei 3 years ago
Because China's the manufacture hub for the world, so there's the pollution problem.
When Japan heavily manufactured products, Japan also suffered from heavy pollution, and there're lots of diseases in Japan such as Minamata disease, Niigata Minamata disease, Yokkaichi Asthma, and Itai-itai disease. Even nowadays, Japan's greenhouse gas emissions still surge to high level, emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases blamed for global warming spike 2.3 percent to 1.37 billion tons.
rcteob 3 years ago
Hybrid car is first made by Japan. Japan participated much of the eniromental conference such as hosting Kyoto protocols.Looks who`s talking.China`s greenhouse gas emissions are one of world`s highest. And majority of ur cars r still old model, blasting gases.2006.11.15 NNA news says 77.1% of cars made in China mulfunctioned by 6 months. Cheaply made cars blaasting gases..HOw can u got a nerve to even compare car & gas subject to Japan?
koikejumei 3 years ago
I believe China cars are not as good as Italian or German cars, but I think it's nonsense that 77% of China cars malfunction by 6 months. Because in the recent years, the export of China cars are largely increasing, if the China cars are that bad, the number of export of China cars will not be hugely increasing b/c many countries would simply cancel the order.
rcteob 3 years ago
There are also drawbacks for hybrid cars. Hybrid car tends to accelerate at a slower speed when compared to gasoline vehicles. you have to replace batteries of the hydrid car at on completing 80,000 miles. So the cost is pretty high, and those batteries also cause harm to the environment in some way.
rcteob 3 years ago
Car companies in Japan alreday undertook producing & developing more advanced type of eco-cars. Right now,due to increacing gas price hybrid cars r getting more popular.Of course it has its own problems but where can we find a perfect car? Car authorities say hybrid tech will be a major one until the next generation of eco car will be introduced to the market

Because of the global economic setback right now,China is getting less & less work from developed nations. Also Japanese enterprises has been shifting their subcontraction companies from China to Vietnam,Malaysia, Indonesia or Thailand. China is the manufacture hub for the world until now, but they are gradually getting out of work now.Already the rate of unemployment in China is rising sharply.Let`s see if China will find its way as u r hoping
koikejumei 3 years ago
Several yrs ago, China already hoped to depend less on export, and to stimulate more domestic demand. The global financial recession gives China the right opportunity to try to live with less export, and more internal demand.
China has long hoped to depend more on itself, less and less from foreign enterprises. and Now is the right time for China to do that.
Whether it's successful, time will tell.
rcteob 3 years ago
China has long been dependent on foreign enterprises for its ecomony. But they are losing them b/c of global economic recession.
I think it would not be an oppotunity as u said but more of a damage to China that they are losing so many jobs for ppl.And global economy recession affects China too,the price of houses in many cities in China are jumping high as one examle.Of course this is not a problem of China alone, but there r so many factors in China not to be optimistic for the future.
