I believe the original music was just the pads, u know, the atmospheric part. But then they decided it was too bizarre so they added bass and drums to make it more upbeat. Sounds cool anyway

Most definitely, this track was buck nasty, definitely one of my favorites. Then again, the entire soundtrack to this game was amazing. Plus, it's not Nobuo Uematsu (who only helped with one track in Chrono Trigger) who composed all of the music, which is why this game has extra flair.
