I am going through the same thing a new church that I am attending Analyzes how much is given they are trying to raise 6.4 million so they can open more church's here in Seattle Wa and from coast to coast all this money can purchase land to build homes for the homeless, but does the church care Hell NO! they puchase luxury homes for them selves. I used to drive down town Seattle and see all of the HOMELESS people sleeping in tents under the fwy's it is a very sad sight

The way I look at it, is like this, Jesus Christ is the vine, we are the branches. The Father is the husbandman, and cuts off every branch that does not bear fruit. This applies to denominations, we can look at them as branches on the vine, and their members as branches on their particular branch. I went to a Catholic Church recently.

It had stained glass windows and one was a depiction of St. Joseph.

Under his feet in the glass was a colorful all seeing eye pyramid.

It really brought all this home for me meaning it's one thing to see it on line.

It's another thing when you start seeing it all around you.

It's so blatant.

The church was built in the 1950's.

I had time before the funeral to observe many Masonic symbols around it.

i have never seen a church give a years worth of tithe to the widow stranger and orphan yet (this is to be done every 3 years )

I found out the THE TITHE IS FOOD and only those who are involve in the food industry in Jerusalam had to give it. The rest of the people never gave tithe they got the tithe, like at feasts and widows got to eat the tithe. Give to the poor the bible says. The poor, like if you had 9 cows for example, then you were exempt from giving. A far cry from what is taught.
