Thank you for this that preserves the memory of a great ride. The Twitter pics posted of the new "safer" vine track at the end is absolutely heartbreaking. It looks hideous and not at all something Walt Disney would've approved. There were no temporary quick fixes for him. Everything had to be perfect to preserve the fantasy and wonder. The DL Resort personnel have really made a huge mistake.

@PrincessSinderella Just the end when the cars come out of the door on top. OSHA was there in mid July and made a comment that it could be a safety violation that no handrails were on the vine track for workers. The ride has been this way since it opened in 1958. Anyway, Disney closed it and it reopened last Friday 8-13-10 and the pics are awful. The railings detract from the ride feeling of going to the edge and they put a green barrier out so you can't look over the edge. Sad.

Really? They dont have this ride in Disney world? Its a classic I thought for sure they would! I have not been to Disney world yet, I cant wait to go! Thats sad that this ride is not there though.

Disney World and Disneyland both have attractions one another dont have. Disneyland has an Indiana Jones ride where as Disney World has the stunt show.
