stretch marks occur when the skin tears, and the reddish/blue mark is just blood filling in the tear. they turn white when collagen eventually fills it in to heal the tear :D

When I was pregnant I got stretch marks practically head to toe. I have tried so many creams from cheap to super expensiveness and I haven't found much that works. They fade after awhile but I pretty much think that people have to learn to deal with them accept them as best they can.

i find that the Mederma stretch mark cream works pretty well. & coconut oil! but to anyone who tries out a stretch mark cream, keep in mind that you have to use them for a looong time.. i'm talking like 6 months before you see good results. so don't get discouraged if you don't see instant results.
