I totally understand and I wish the same thing. I no longer have real family, their choice not mine. So many of my friends got sick and died, I wish an effective treatment was available back then. It was horrific and took me to places mentally and emotionally that I never thought I'd go. But you know, I wouldn't trade the time I had with those friends for anything in the world. For me they were my family and I miss them terribly.

It takes real, concerted effort to keep old friends in your life - ESPECIALLY after a death. People are so afraid that things will be different and they just don't know how to handle that. One night that you are feeling like your missing "the old gang" call and ask them over-very spontaneously-don't give them time to think about it. You will be surprised how many people drop what they're doing and come by. It won't be the same, but it may be pretty darn good! Great video, Zip!

I find it hard to keep up with people too. For me it's mostly been living in different places and not doing a good job of holding on to those in different areas, even though as you say they've been some of the most important people in my life. It gets hard.

We are such kindred spirits. My daughter who also adores you, and I often talk about the good old days when my mother was still alive/pre 1992 when we all congregated in her kitchen in Alpha. Mom, Anky, Chabba, Marie, Pappy, Julia, Buddy have all since passed away. How true to life is this video! I was thinking about this myself how we all fall apart after yrs and yrs, I suppose out priorities change. I feel the party should not be everyday, so I have strayed from those people and those people have strayed from me. I really do miss those times, the parties the fun. I find it hard to keep up with people too. For me it's mostly been living in different places and not doing a good job of holding on to those in different areas, even though as you say they've been some of the most important people in my life. It gets hard.

Back in the 70's when we lived in an apartment complex we'd all sit out front on the stoop and have a great time then we all bought single family homes, made money and got serious. Life is all about change, and even with the new things you have in your life its ok to miss the old stuff. I had a hard time watching this, as I have had some of the same type feelings lately. My dear friend lost her son in April (he was 6) and it really got me thinking about life and how short it is, and how its scary to think one day it will be all over. Enjoy life, and enjoy your memories. Remember life is what you make it, and don't waste time, create your own happiness.

We are such kindred spirits. My daughter who also adores you, and I often talk about the good old days when my mother was still alive/pre 1992 when we all congregated in her kitchen in Alpha. Mom, Anky, Chabba, Marie, Pappy, Julia, Buddy have all since passed away. I just found an old friend that worked as a desk clerk with me at the Holiday Inn of Phillipsburg in 1971 We haven't talked since 1989. We are going to meet for lunch. I can't wait. How true to life is this video! I was thinking about this myself how we all fall apart after yrs and yrs, I suppose out priorities change. I feel the party should not be everyday, so I have strayed from those people and those people have strayed from me. I really do miss those times, the parties the fun. One thing I dont miss is the hangovers I suppose. But in the end of all of it, you come out with a handful of best friends, instead of a party bus full of users.
