Geez Master Chef Australia is scary to watch especially when they use words like "dying" "to die for" "dying to see" at the children contestants.

Using those words at the kids just shows us how irresponsible those master chefs are.

Channel 10 producers are so irresponsible they could have at least edit out those words on kids segment.

Children are much more smart and resilient than you give them credit for. Hearing a simple word won't harm them, but shielding them from everything you deem scary, and then dumping them into an unknown world a few years later will.

Why is everyone complaining? This is a showcase of the way our generation of kids can cook, better than spending 24/7 on games and internet (though i admittedly do that ;-;) Sure, it's earning the Masterchef franchise money, but it's a showcase of talent.

I myself am 11 and have started teaching myself to cook, this show being my inspiration. I could only make instant noodles and toast before, but now I can cook stroganoff and stir-fry; not perfect, but pretty darn good if I do say so myself.

Most of the things they do come from learning simple things - knowing how to cook something till it's done (which you find out by burning things), developing a sense of what flavours do and don't work together (I compare it to paint colours) etc.

I've been cooking for at least ten years, still burn things, cook okay and occasionally make awesome.

The Junior Masterchef show looks awesome! And this USian thinks all Ramsay's U.S. versions pale in comparison to the U.K. versions; but that's Ramsay's fault. I have no hope for his version of Masterchef. Instead, I look forward to more awesome Aussie programming.
