really heart touching words,,,,,,,,,but,,,,,people of pakistan heard this n forgot,,,,,,,,,,this is a lesson for all those who are deprived from ,n those leaders who ruled pak from last 63 years,n they didn,t gave any thing to pakistani people............kab raj karegi kalq e KHUDA...............alizai
it's like there is some divine passion in this poem. i feel like it's the message of Allah being produced through the words of "FAIZ".and Iqbal Banoo!!!!! speechless.
Faiz Ahmed Faiz would have turned 100 yers tomorrow 13thFebruary 2011. I dedicate this great poetry on his birth centenery. One of the greatest (may be next only to Kazi Nazrul Islam) revolutionary poet of our sub-continent.
OH!! this audio took me 27 years back in Bentley Hall Essex .. Faiz sahab was there and the audi was full of PPP workers. Iqbal bano started this and it was a mesmerizing moment. Everyone can listen the audience in background.
vajeea thats the best version i hav ever heared thanks alot for uploading :) is there any chance u can gimme the link for the mp3 version of this ghazal??? its beautiful
This rendering by Iqbal Bano of Faiz Ahmad Faiz's outstanding poetry is a much better recording than the version that shows up on top of the list when you search for Iqbal Bano. Based on the quality of the recording this should be placed on top of the list for Iqbal Bano, except that the visuals could be more relevant to the song.
Im amazed of Faiz saheb's confidence.....he had firm belief that vices and excessed would vanish very soon....and it happened and it happened every time....Faiz was a lover of truth thats why he sayd "chand ko gul karo tau janain" {Try Putting off the moon, if u can} GREAT....Tribute to Iqbal Bano as well for this immortal rendition
1989,,lahore,,the fifth death aniversary of faiz sahib and first after the lifting of long, dark and worst ever martial law of zia,had the privilage of listening her live,,pople were so enthusiastic,,they were betrayed yet again by their rulers, pata nahin kab dekhein ge.....
Thank you so much Vajeea.. What a singer and what a wonderful generation that had a concious voice, political awareness and a respect for the art and the artist..
What are the chances!? I have been seeking to find a good audio of Faiz Ahmed Faiz's Hum Dekhenge on Youtube for over a year. And finally I have found it on the very day it was uploaded. If ever there is to be a socialist revolution across the South Asian subcontinent, this would be the first entry in the anthology of marching songs. Hum Dekhenge .... thank you.
Fucking traitor PAKI ...Salla kutta he chose Porkiland over India so even the good starts giving out the smell of a cow slaughter house..CHEAP!!!

it wouldn't be surprising if anybody makes it a marching song in their plight against injustice and tyranny! (even oif they are across the border!)

@ABCDshaikh She is truly a great product of a great country, India. Her teachers are true artists... may she rest in peace.
