The govt continues to allow the owner to participate - which means handling details of management, maintenance, hiring & firing (under supervision & given allowance for placement of govt officials upon request). But it is GOVERNMENT who now runs the company, telling it what, when, & how much to produce.
If an owner tries to assert any autonomy or resists - he's gone - unless of course u think he could say no to Hitler.

@mredstriumph Well, there's no denying that Jim wasn't exactly faithful to poor Marceline...but last time I checked, that money didn't go to him. It went into building all those child-care centers, those soup kitchens, those little restaurants, those clinics, & all those other wonderful institutions that the Peoples Temple helped make possible! And I know this because I am an avid Jonestown / Peoples Temple / Jim Jones scholar who actually takes the time to study these topics, TYVM!

Every time I see this clip I forget that its a movie. Powers Boothe is absolutely mesmerizing as Jim Jones. He goes beyond acting and seems to channel Jim Jones and the Guyana tragedy. Did he ever receive an Oscar for this?
