  • a lot of opportunities after graduating in this college

  • this vid tells me absolutely nothing about the uni, they chose their smartest students and put them on camera to tell us what grades they got :/

  • one day...

  • AAC for Imperial? i though it's straight A's

  • @Gimcrackz moreso A* AA now..... competition is so bloody fierce, who wouldve thought someone could get into imperial with a C!!! this video was made in 2008 though, and those who are interviewed have been there a few years anyway

  • WARNING TO ALL STUDENTS: Dr. Vincent McKee, who used to run a company in Coventry offering private tuition, called ICUT (UK), has now changed the name of the company to University and Academy Tutors, or UAT (GB). DO NOT approach ICUT/UAT for your tutorial needs. Dr. Vincent McKee was outed as a FRAUDSTER by Sky News in January 2011. As a result, McKee has changed his company's name and HIS OWN NAME : he now calls himself Patrick Murray, and he is STILL DEFRAUDING STUDENTS. Just Google his name !

  • Now, they ask for a*aa (a* in maths and a in further maths is highly encouraged) for most engineering courses. For IB students they ask 7s in maths and physics with 39 overall in some competitive courses such as computer science or aeronautical eng

  • 2As and a C for physics? Nowadays its A*AA, an intense interview and most probably some kind of entrance exam to get a conditional offer. You had it easy back then.

  • All Imperial students! ..this Friday 3rd December - Aled Jones from Radio1 is Dj'ing at The Metric for the Postgrad Winter Mingle, we're supporting - be great if you could make your way over for a drink and show us your support, meanwhile, take a look at our YouTube - and let us know what you think!

  • wow can anybody feel me in information about this school because i already got As in five courses and i want to study medicine . HELP any British person out there.??

  • i dont understand

the people in the video say they achieved grades like AAC and other similar outcomes, but on the website it says entry grades are A*AA

    please speculate?

    thanks

  • @ChRIs23696 yeeh im shocked by that. especially for physics!

    that won't happen anymore though.

  • @ChRIs23696 well the A* grade is introduced recently in 2010, at first the highest grade was A now A* is possible but at full A -level

  • if u think its crap than u must be stupid.

  • how old is this?

now they want AAA only to get into it for mechanical engineering at least.

wish me luck guys em at an AAB atm lol

  • yeah now they want AAA and in my country i've got 8 exams:

biology chemistry physics math philosophy german english and history in which i have to get an average of 54-60 in other systems an A

    which is crazy

    wish you luck btw ;)

  • good Luck

  • they want AAA for everything now

  • @independence8 A*A* A for maths!!!!

  • They want an A* in maths for the course i want to do now, mechanical engineering. They also want an A in further maths and an A in physics. Just last year a looked on and it was A B B.

  • i worked there in the 80's and it was a right dump, full of chinks ect. Thay did not whant britsh in there, if they cound help it.

  • still the same

  • lol, you don't even know me! In the interest of correcting your wildly unfounded assumptions in relation to my prowess: I'm currently enrolled on a Masters degree at LSE, and possess a First in English from Bristol University! So yes, I could have got in, IF THEY OFFERED MY COURSE, but frankly, I wouldn't want to, because I would be swarmed by third-world minorities who would have been admitted on the basis of their "mitigating circumstances", and not on merit. In short: thanks, but no thanks!

  • @brevicaudate

wow, bravo for coming off as a right bigot and ignorant tosser.

  • MCBathtub - I tend to have that effect, you know. Most people do agree with me, on everything. I'm just the one who volunteers to articulate their thoughts, lol, in order to reassure them that they are right, and to convert others who think otherwise, and who are wrong. I call it... the "Enlightenment project", lol. Kapow.

  • Here's one who doesn't agree with you motherfucker. She said RESPECTIVELY because that's the right word. Fucking dickhead. NOT respectfully. She mentioned the respective grade she got on each one of subjects she took.

AND SHE DID EARN everything she got. YOU didn't give anything to her. And NO there aren't plenty of British students who denied anything, she's where she is cause she is better than them. Fuck you now.

  • haha, your outburst can only swell my rancour for her and all her kind, who have raped us of our resources at the expense of our own, whose futures we should be protecting. People like you exist only to promote the scarce talent of the less worthy; that's your raison d'etre. "Respectfully" and "respectively" - I know the difference. The contrast was my theme. If you were more shrewd, you would've seen that. Shame you don't have an English degree, like myself - something I, conversely, EARNED.

  • I've got my English degree bitch. Yes you might have earned yours, but too bad you haven't earned a place at Imperial. Now fuck off.

  • lol, do you have a penchant for masochism? Or did you just shoot yourself in the foot by accident there? If you had cared to WATCH the video, my fellow "English degree" graduate (yeah right; your foul language betrays your claims to such academic credentials), you would have noticed that I couldn't have "earned a place at Imperial" even if I had applied. Why not? BECAUSE THEY DON'T OFFER ENGLISH! I refer your attention to 0:30, and bid you good evening. Ta ta.

  • You couldn't have gotten in anyways, nomatter what course you applied for.

  • @brevicaudate

For somebody who has supposedly studied English at degree level, your structure and choice of words are fairly poor. There is a difference between being eloquent and just plain verbose.

  • @brevicaudate

No, it's respectively. At least be correct if you're going to be an ass, otherwise you just sound foolish.

  • My brother's doing medicine and he had to get straight A's and A*'s in his A' levels and GCSE :P he got in succesfully!!! :P

  • agreed 100% with the post below

  • AAB??? WTF.

  • london business school 1 number 1 in the ranking sda bocconi 30 in the ranking and imperial business school 35 in the ranking the best schools in the world

  • i want to o there. the amateur transplants are from there

  • ICL is full of amateurs - so that makes sense.

  • no, I mean the band: The Amateur Transplants.

  • u mean ucl?? icl is a cricket leauge

  • International College london

  • shit

  • The students in the video would have applied a few years ago when entry standards were slightly lower - now its mostly aab or aaa depending on the subject and the demand...

  • gorgeous university with gorgeous guys..i have been bummed in the toilets at the union on numerous occasions..i want a cucumber up my arse..NOOOW

  • huh. charrrming.

  • are u a bloke?

  • lol!

  • Comment removed

  • wtf are you female or male?

  • fantastic university

  • they pumped entry grades to AAA in almost every single subject.

  • i just got an offer back off imperial, they wany me to get AAAa to do aeronautical engineering, durham and shefield only wanted AAB.

  • offcourse if u do 4 levels, becasue of the competition, they expect u to get all A's. good luck!

  • geeky people, no enjoyment in life

  • enjoyment comes after graduation...with all the job offers coming in before graduation...bring in the money :D

  • yeah i agree. some people might enjoy the first 15 years of their life by partying and failing gcses etc... but fail to support a family and are stuck driving buses for 50 years. i would rather work hard for the first 15 years of my academic life then get a huge paying job and support my family and enjoy life.

  • this is pretty obvious...in the uk people don't seem to think so for some reason.

  • and about when u graduate and earn money?

  • thats crap dude.
