Hey! ....... i have a Q man......... do you live in PR?, if so can i still find a s90es there? i live in Dominican Republic and wouldn't mind taking a flight there to get one... or an used s90xs.... thanx man...... DIOS TE BENDIGA!
This piano sounds fine .. lots of dynamics in the upper range. Of course, we are not hearing the full range of the piano since this piece is a mainly a slow and soft passage of upper keys. The comment about this sound being thin and plastic got to be the most ridiculous one.. . hehe .. must be some half-deaf, dim witted metal head who expect BAM BAM BOOM BOOM .. on a cheap korg piano..!! The pianist was playing it soft ... you dim witted neanderthal ...:-)
I'm a traveling musician for 35+ years and have played everything. Understand that the xs has the sounds for ANY situation. If you're not absolutely satisfied with a particular piano patch... tweak it with the four knobs on the left side of panel and then store it as a performance. Trust me, it will meet every need imaginable.
Please know, Ive played them all and nothing comes close for the on stage/in studio experience the synth/stage piano provides! Thanks Yamaha
Reading negative comments on the S6 piano a lot. This seems to based on wrong assumptions. This sound is not meant to be a concert grand solo stage sound. It is meant to be present but nice to the other instruments in the mix. Hence it seems to sound thin but actually it is very clear and leading in any mix. A concert grand would carry too much "body" that would get in the way of say the bass. Good job Yamaha.
Mmmm, I think is the sound format. I recorded it directly from S70xs. I used the new recording feature. But if you use the s70xs on studio or live you are going to feel the Power of the sound. Prove it and see what I say to you. Regards
@TechCrazy I agree with you in the fact that they make some of the finest acoustic pianos...That however, does not mean they can recreate that kind of quality digitally...But as i said, it is a matter of taste...
Is like Yamaha S90es. The S70xs is the perfect balance for studio and live gig. I had korg Triton classic,Roland XP-10Roland Fantom X, Yamah Motif 88, Yamaha CP33, Kuerzweil PC2X, Korg X-50, Yamaha P85 and Yamaha S90es,Syntoghy: Ivory Grand Piano for Mac.I lost a lot of money trying find the perfect piano for me and finally I found it: Yamaha S70XS. The BEST SOUND,Size and feature!!!!! I', so happy with this piano.I feel in heaven.
Yes. I played yesterday and recorded in a USB Drive. I visited a Church and the sound was amazing. If you want hear the true sound, you have to plug in good PA Monitor. regards
