Lmao I love Tony twist, but you dont put on 35lbs of solid muscle without steroids. I believe without a doubt twist used steroids, but he was still a beast. He was tough before he juiced, but he couldn't go toe to toe with Probert or Kocur. After the roids, he could beat or hang with absolutely anyone in the game.

You guys are arguing about a guy on Steroids in his prime (which thanks to Steroids came later than a normal player just like Barry Bonds' prime) and the current heavyweight champ who wasn't in his prime yet. Both in their prime, it would be a pretty even scrap.

Exactly...that's why I hate laraque. He always takes people down instead of trying to KO them...Twist would punch until his arms went numb before he flung his limp body onto his opponent. That would be the only time he went down.

I ran into Twist at his St.Louis bar and he is still built like a brick shitter. He will always go down as one of the toughest, scariest and hardest punchers ever. He could light you up if he landed, but never the less, he was intimidating and fun to watch. He is also one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, a classy act!

I wonder how well Twist could fight now. The muscles aren't what they used to be I am sure. I also wonder what this fight would be like if they were in a ring rather than wearing skates. Neither of these two is much of a skater and balance is not their friend.

I don't know if that is necessarily true. Twist was reported to have benched over 400 lbs. during his playing days, which is far beyond enough power needed for an elite NHL toughguy. Also, guys like Bob Probert and Link Gaetz would tussel up pretty well against Laraque if they were still playing today.

Win ? Man Laraque threw some serious punches on twist. And at the end of the fight, Laraque still wore his helmet. Anyway, Twist didnt win, laraque fell ... Still a good fight !
