why do people hate on automatics? lol its a more refined transmission system unlike a sloppy manual transmission, and you get better launches i just dont get why ppl hate on it lol Sometimes its nice to just drive a car and enjoy the fact that its driving itself in my opinion you enjoy it more, and if you ever wanna change gears manually you can on this car. Beautiful Car dude, enjoy the hell out of it =D
4th - Thanks everyone who supports it and likes the ride
5th - to the one who said weak burnout - it was a brand new car with tires that are $400 each, wanted to get it to the track first before doing a full out burnout.
6th - 12.79 quarter mile completely stock - not something to laugh about
1st - I have a bad left knee, can't drive a clutch for long, so everyone dissin me for getting an auto, you don't know squat.
2nd - Anyone who knows racing knows that an auto is faster down the track (faster shifting)
3rd - Yep - I burned out in my brand new car, yep it was awesome, yep I have done it a lot since, no - rubber was not stuck to the paint, if you know racers, you know to put a coat of wax on and not wipe it off, then the rubber just cleans right off with a cloth
1 - $900 of tire sitting on the back two wheels of that car from the factory and it was at 2000 miles at time of burn out, why waste all the good rubber on the first one.
2 - This was in someones driveway, ever seen the cost to repair a driveway?
3 - Wait for the Spring time - you will get a good burnout when I finish off the tires before putting drag radials on.
not every one out there can depress a hard ass hell clutch pedal, and if you want to drag race the car the auto is the way to go. plus all camaros with auto come with padel shifters
is that all that matters to u? the transmission? r u forgetting about the monsterous 6.2 liter 430 hp V8 under the hood? so wat if its automatic how many cars r gonna cross his path that would even stand a chance against this beast
ok, im a manual guy, and im going to get a manual ss, but wht i think is tht the paddle shifters are faster in shifting, thts wht i think, im not sure, i still prefer the manual, but still!!
Paddle shifters are faster with a tune, pretty much just like driving a manual stock as far as time response and the kick as if releasing the clutch, its actually pretty cool.
Rubber is off - nice coat of wax without buffing out first does the trick, then all rubber just wipes off, no scraping or worrying about ruining the paint trying to get it off.
Take traction control off, put brake down, put gas pedal down. That easy. Just let off the brakes, you don't need the brake pedal floored otherwise you just burn the hell out of the rear brakes for no good reason. The important thing though is turn the TCS off.
Yep - wanted to try and get it revved up in second rather than just first, it did okay at it but had that lag in there from the change. This has been removed after a tune was applied, so it would shift without you really even knowing up through 3rd. 4th is a tricky one, sometimes it will just continue, other times it will lag, other times it just bogs out - but I don't usually go past 2nd
try to put it on manual :)

why dont you all quit commenting untill you get a 2010 ss camaro. stick to your V6 15000 DOLLAR RIDE.

If they are lucky to have a V6, might be 4 bangers with fart exhausts that they think is the best ride ever.
