Hey!I had lived in the US for couple of years and let me tell you,it"s a little cheaper to own a car,BUT...man,do europeans make hot cars or what?!There are such extremely beautifull cars such:Alfa Romeo GT,the Brera,the Fiat coupe,Peugeot 307 CC,the new VW Scirocco.Don"t even think about comparing them with Toyota or likes.If i had a licence to kill first and second on the list would be Toyota's and Subaru designers!!

The thing is that it is the cheapest audi car, for aproximately 15000 € you can own an audi a1 1.2 tfsi 86 hp. Also it has an impacting design so i think it is going to have a good reception in europe.

@Myka138 it is, here a "normal" Vw golf DIESEL cost between 22 and 29.000 euros (wich is about 34.000 US dollars), if you want and audi a3 or an a4, you pay even more, each service (oil and all filter change) is about 350 euros (420Us dollars), plus we have insurances wich are the most expensive in the world, (a 2.0 TDI is1200USD each year just for a " "basic" RCA cover )and if you want an import car (japanese or american) prices skyrocket even more (because spare parts are less aviabile)

@Myka138 not really, there in america the car market is way more "open" than here in europe (even less here in italy) where you can only buy "european" stuff, pay a lots of taxes even for small engined cars, and spare parts and assistance cost a bunch of money

at least there in the USA you can have both domestic and imports for a price way lower than here, and you pay way less for spare parts and insurance/taxes, wich allow the buyer to have more freedom in choosing and mantaining a car ;)

Unlike MINI(BMW), Audi didn't develop a whole new car. They just took the mechanical underpinnings of a Polo and dressed them up as a premium product.

Fabia comes standard 60HP for £9k, where as the audi has a 122hp engine for £13k, the fabia's 123hp engine costs £14k. Fabia also has less extra's as standard, such as the pop up sat nav audi's have
