LOL I played this game so much when I was 4 years old. It was amazing. and today when I look back, that game totally plays "Good Vibrations" by Marky Mark.
Hilarious vid! Thanks for the fx fighter memories! Jake was my favorite too his punch combo was the best. Siren was my second. Asshraf was so lame with that push move. I totally used to say the exact same thing when mocking his comment "I hope you learned your lesson.." overall the soundtrack was so freaking cool. I ripped the tracks back in the day and did some remixes. Got to the end boss of course he has all the fighters moves.
9:26 LOL I think I probably was using an outdated cd player or maybe the disc- but when I put the pc game into the cd system it made screeching noises like it was jumbling data around.
@MEGAXSTU Yeah usually on discs that double as a CD and another type of disc, the first(or sometimes second) track is nothing but noise, because this track is used for data. It even says so if you put the PS1 version of Castlevania in a CD player.
I LOVE this game! I bought it when it came out at my local Best Buy since I've always loved fighting games. Think I payed about $40 for this thing. Funny thing is, my disc is not in full color like yours. Mine has Rygil in black and white (well the art is made up of the silver the disc is naturally and only black ink to form the picture). I liked the music so much, I used some of it in a video I made a couple months back about replacing capacitors for an arcade monitor chassis.
@TheDabeavis Ah, tbh that's news to me since the first VF I played was VF2 on PC and the first Tekken I played was Tekken 2, both I only started in like 97. PS this is my new account
All you need to to is to copy & rename Rygils file to someone else that is already selectabe and overwrite that - I used Ashraf because he annyoed the hell out of me.
Now when I think about it, i managed to kill him 2 times as Jake. I got to him with allmost every character, but it seamed only possible with jake for some reason.
GJ taking him down with Cyben. =P
Allso one other time, i got Rygil down to like, as low as you can possibly get. And yet he said "You were no match for the mighty Rygil". That pissed me off, haha.
good review if it was ur first! wat u need to do is probably take notes and have it in front of the camera so u dont have to think so much, u should just say it smoothly... also u need to be a bit more lively with ur voice, try to put a smile on, a smile is the key to enthusiasm, even if som1 cant see ur smile u should still smile. 4/5 but i'd be more strict if u were older, but your young, plenty of time to learn and get better! well done!
yes i have 2 copies of this old game and always used to play it when i was a kid still one of the best games ever to go down in history but sucks now because i cant play it because windows vista shit house

There are a few old games that are way harder than this i.e. Cyberia and Rogue and the Amulet of Yendor to name a few.

same here. I got it with Rock Vid Grid, Jack Nicolas Golf, and some other games.
I remember looking at the graphics and thinking they couldn't be beat.

I remember this game very well. The character select theme is awesome.
Kinda like house music. Most of the soundtrack was inspired by house music... in my opinion.

Dude, it was so long ago so I am not certain, but if you sit down while fighting ashraf, you can avoid getting pushed out of the ring.... I THINK. :)

Man, I was 12 or 13 when this game came out. I still have the comic book that came with it!

oh and did any1 ever get the boss off this as a playable character?
Chris8990123 2 years ago
Actually there's a method of replacing Magnon with Rygil,though I don't know.
I think it's under FX Fighter's FAQs on GameFAQS.
