  • 5 Little Devils rated it down.

  • Thank You LORD for Your promises

  • You will eat, by and by,

In that glorious land in the sky,

Work and pray, live on hay,

You'll get pie in the sky when you die

  • That was very good.

How beautiful are the feet of those that bring Good News.

  • even though im a atheist i love gospel music

  • @MrMrMoto whats an atheist

  • @MrJuice18 Someone who is intelligent enough to realize that the concept of a "god" is pure fairy tale superstition much like Santa Claus or leprechauns.

  • @MrMrMoto then how did we come to be,enlighten me

  • @MrJuice18 I don't have the time but if you really wanted to know the truth you could easily find it out. Listen I do wish there was a god to get this country out of the shit hole we are in, but unfortunately after my 2 year old sister died of cancer that's when I found there's no "god".

  • @MrMrMoto What about when God gave His Son to die on the cross for people who are trying to disprove Him and turn their backs on Him? Do you not think that was hell for Him also?

  • This song is so old, Ned Kelly sang this in his cell the night before he was hanged in 1880 but he must have known it as a child because it was his favorite song.

  • I like Joe Hill's version better.

  • @ryan84160 "I like Joe Hill's version better." It's called "The Preacher and the Slave". I posted lyrics for it here, but apparantly the Bible thumpers got pissed and flagged it as spam. LOL

  • What a wonderful voice and sweet song. Her accent blew away.

  • omyyy i would so marry loretta im in love wth an angel! lol

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • I like you, Loretta Lyn. I love you!

  • god, that was absolutely perfect

  • a beautiful song, perfectly sung!

  • god that's a real country musique, and my fever it's BLUE KENTUCKI GIRL.but i admit it i adoreee this one too...

  • Also, less than 2 minutes long. You gotta love it! :)

  • My God, a country singer who sings country, and isn't a sexed-up no-talent joke peddled to people who have no idea of country before those old-timers, Travis Tritt and Garth Brooks, turned it into pop-and-roll.

  • Because it is a gospel song. Love her voice to.

  • . . . . . Wow, Um . . . . I have nothing against her or anything, but why must the song have a gospel/country feeling to it?. . . . . Jeez, now I'm going to suck at singing it (for a play). . . . . She has gorgeous voice.

  • I think thats just what country music was back then was Blue grass Honky Tonk Gospel and thats what they grew up with back then

  • My favorite gospel song. would liek to hear her sing it in my language. We sing it in our language.

  • You should sing it in your language and post it on hear. That would be great!

  • Thats how a REAL gospel song is sung, todays gospel aint gospel I love the old hymns that get people shouting!!!!! LOVE YOU LORETTA!!!!!!

  • I love it all, the old, the new, raise you from the pew.

  • Must be a southern person! We all love her here!!! She's truly awesome!!!

  • i love you and your music your amazing talented god be with you!!:)

  • Well done.

    Brother Don

  • its like the song, Merle Haggard used to sing, walking on the fighting side of me......if u don't like this country then leave we won't miss u a little bit u'all have a good evening

  • I miss Grandpa Jones

  • They had a lot of racists in the North, West, and East as well.

  • @ForeverAnalog But the south was the only place where they build an economy on racism.

  • @PrometheanRunGood

oh really? Recall our Nation's Capital? Guess who built it...

  • Obama is President because of Racism. White people voted for him because he is black to prove there were not raciest and blacks voted for him because he was black... Real racism will be gone when he is not reelected next term. Martin Luther King (a Republican) dream was to judge a man on the content of his character and not the color of his skin. Every one of you who voted for him did so because of his skin color. That makes you a raciest .

  • @whydoicare70 I'm worse than a democrat or a liberal I'm afraid, I'm a Canadian *shock*

  • @whydoicare70 I voted for obama, because i didn't like mccain. i've never liked him, since the 80's. he was up to his neck in the saving's and loan mess. i don't like how he treated his first wife. i also know several people who served with him before and after his capture. he was a horrible soldier. and mlk was a republican, because at that time the southern democrats were the conservatives, so you have to take that into account.

  • LORETTA SINGS SO GOOD

  • PALIN/HUCKABEE 2012 !!!! :D

Bring back the good old America !

    Bless you all!

  • I love we somebody sings this song on the movie "PLACES IN THE HEART".

  • This is not religion. This is a Christian song. Christianity is truth. Jesus came as the prince of peace. We must forget ourselves. Ego is our worst enemy, not faith.

  • @ForeverAnalog Who said this is religion? This is just a sng, but one that has the ring of truth, you "foreveraalog" must be a non believer, that is your voice ..

  • @izzigogo What gave you the idea that I was a non-believer ? I am a Christian. Christianity is not a religion. I was saying this is not a religious song. It is a Christian song. Sorry you failed to understand that.

  • Oh yes that is right we shall meet there.

  • I Love The Video,MS.Lorretta Lynn Is a Good Singer.

  • There's a land that is fairer than day,

    And by faith we can see it afar;

For the Father waits over the way

To prepare us a dwelling place there.

In the sweet by and by,

    We shall meet on that beautiful shore;

In the sweet by and by,

We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

  • To our bountiful Father above,

We will offer our tribute of praise

For the glorious gift of His love

And the blessings that hallow our days.

In the sweet by and by,

    We shall meet on that beautiful shore;

In the sweet by and by,

We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

  • love this one. remindes me of bible school back in the 70's!

  • CONWAY IS AWESOME

  • if i like this music what other artist would i like please list some names

  • Crystal Gayle, Tammy Wynette. George Jones, Charlie Pride, Johny Cash, Porter Wagoner, Conway Twitty, one of the duets between Conway and Loretta, Ralph Stanely, Bill Monroe, Stringbean, anyone else that showed up on the Wilburn Brothers' Show...

  • Hello Speedsniper

The best singers are Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, Hank Williams, Charley Pride, Buck Owens, Jimmie Rodgers, Anne Murray and of course Loretta Lynn.

Lorretta has a beautiful voice but Patsy Cline is better, Anne Murray is also very good.

I have lots of videos by all three and some of the above on my channel - Coolymic.

I will send you a song by Patsy to listen to, you will agree she is divine.

Loretta comes a close second to Patsy.

    Regards

    Jon

  • conway twitty, porter wagner, dolly parton, hank williams Sr.

  • A great mid-sixties clip of Loretta with the fashionable BIG backcombed hair-do of which is seen in her Decca (60's) Album covers!

  • Grandma!

  • Are you really Loretta Lynn's grandchild? Lucky you! Congrats!

  • I really like this, Loretta is such an angel, I love her hymns, the video quality is amasing, has this been released on DVD ?

  • Great old clip of the "QUEEN" leading the group with a wounderful song.

  • This version I like too and I can even see

Grandpa Jones which is great !!! <3

  • That's Harold Morrison wearing the rather "loud" jacket behind Loretta. Harold was my step-father's first cousin and they grew up playing country music together. I had the privilege of meeting and playing with Harold a couple of times before he died and was fascinated by him and his stories. I'd love to find some more videos which include Harold Please let me know if you come across others. I truly appreciate it.

  • the fiddle player is a very young Buddy Spiker sans beard.

  • absolutely brilliant. (although on a very different note not sure I would want to leave my kids with the violin player!)

  • ha ha ha

  • THAT IS BEAUTIFUL LORETTA.

  • I love hearing her sing this song she does such a great job
