I was 25 when I became Atheist. I had been Christian for 10 years. I taught Sunday School, I ran the Youth programs I coached Bible Bowl, I was on the church council, in the band and in the choir. I led Prayers and on a few occasions I even preached. I was sincere in my faith and think that was generally understood. I didn't know anyone who was atheist, not even among people I knew who weren't Christian. I didn't read any atheist books or pamphlets. By whom was I brain washed?
Funny story, Shock. I was in the room today, and some of them started talking about, what do you know! Leprechauns! Oh those silly atheists! They never learn!
I agree! I think Atheists aren't confident in their own beliefs hence why they push themselves in an illogical position where they're getting themselves in alot of trouble. I think it's give another reason to put them on the least trusted people in America if not the whole world.

I wish you could debate religion with him. He got on a religion rant with a Baptist for 4 1/2 hours. Not kidding you. He is 350% convenced there isn't a God and we are all stupid. He even has pictures on the wall stated isn't a God and wants it taken out of the pledge.....advice from you???

so, just have to throw this one out there. I have a friend at work and he is 350% Atheist, not 100%....I mean 350%. Its bad, anyway. This is the kind of person you can't even mention Jesus or God in front of, calls the bible a magic book. I'm Catholic and I don't even mention religion because its starts a huge fight.
Hey shock, you know whats funny. most of this athiests are young. and they don't believe in God because they are young (13-50 yrs old) But the funny thing is, that when they get to be an old man/woman full of diseases in the hospital and look back in their life and notice how athiesm hasn't give them peace in mind, they are going to be begging for God's forgiveness i mean why is ts that most churchs are 50% old people? Luckly God is a forgiving God and will forgive their sins.

@1775edde That's why I'm glad that I'm an atheist because when I get sick I'll go to the hospital and let another human being treat me as opposed to sitting at home and asking God to just miraculously make me feel better.
