  • A giant talent - long may he continue to amaze us with his wonderful songs.

    To quote:

And may your song always be sung

    May you stay forever young

  • love you man of a billion words...heading towards the sun...your in my heart, sweet bob..

  • Love Bob Dylan HE IS A LEGEND.......But he is always juiced up and i could dig that at this time......Just concentrate on singing bob you don't need to try to play an instrument.....just sit and sing my friend........ you deserve the props........ Try to sing as best you can

  • @kat6552 I know a lot about music. I think YOU have no taste in music. You think all songwriters can sing and that all singers are songwriters! I watched a History Channel special on his 1st concert, age 19-ish. He had THE worst voice THEN!!!!! Sure,*maybe* his lyrics are great (whatever) but his voice is not shot, he could NEVER sing. Believe me, I DON'T listen to him, had my kids listen to this to prove a point because my husband also defends him. Bowie and Rod can still sing...Just sayin'...

  • @terrylehenbauer couldn't disagree more but it's a matter of opinion, i suppose.

  • @terrylehenbauer In Pop music singing means something different than in Jazz or in opera, of course. Dylan sometimes was a wonderful pop or folk singer – now I wouldn’t visit one of his concerts anymore.

  • Too bad he never sings his songs prooperly anymore. How his musicians stay on key is beyond me!He used to be great though.

  • He has proved that he can have a partially bad singing voice and still grap everybody's attention because of his songwriting!

  • WORST SINGER EVER!!!! CAN YOU NOT HEAR THIS????? HE'S BRILLIANT BECAUSE HE FOOLED ALL OF YOU!!!!

  • @terrylehenbauer You obviously know nothing about music... And have no depth whatsoever. To appreciate Dylan, you have to listen to the words as well as the voice. and this performance is recent. He has been on a never-ending tour for some 20 years. His voice is shot. But he is still Dylan and his genius shines through. If you don't like him, don't listen.....just sayin

  • @terrylehenbauer He's not a singer. He is a poet, raconteur, entertainer, musician, artist. His voice is not what its about. Most average people dont understand... Do you Mr.Jones?

  • in an world like this, how can you exist bob???

    best man and singer EVER!!!!

  • I saw him live in Cork last summer and I was blown away at the harmonica skills. It was like taming a wild beast.

    He's still got it!!!

  • i was at his concert, it make me cry.

I love his music to death but he can't sing anymore.

It's not a shame because he sang all his live but i felt so sad.

i still listen to his old music.

    sorry for my bad englisch!

    xx marije

  • @XXatletiekgirlXX Thank you for being the only honest person, besides me, that thinks he can't sing. But I have NEVER thought he could sing. HE CAN'T!!!!

  • No, He is coming over your house Wed.

  • Someone told me Dylan died...WTF?

  • Always happening

  • motherfucker can still sing

  • Rapturous, beautiful, priceless, to die for ...

  • Spectacular.

  • Performances like this keep my heart young ... thank you for the blessings, Bob ... back to you one hundredfold <3

  • Dylan's voice sounds incredible here. If I was listening to this without video I might guess this was 15 or 20 years ago. His voice cracks a little early on, but he sounds absolutely great and remarkably smooth here. I love his reinterpretation of this song...the lack of sentimentality about it's precise sound as it was recorded. Different keys, different tones, different instrumentation. Beautiful.

I love it, especially around 3:50.

    Long live Dylan.

  • Do I have a small question bob dylan still believe in god?

  • wow his voice/singing actually sounds great and his harmonica playing sounds a hundred times better than it did in the 60s go bobby

  • come back to australia next year please!!!

  • Comment removed

  • haha look at his face... he just loves playing music!

  • this makes my stomach have butterflys, and there is a smile all the way across my face, I love you Bob!

  • Salve o mestre!!!!

  • isnt it amazing....Bob Dylan proves he's global....I mean...hear the crowd....and then in American....the poetry.. Makes me wonder...why cant the world get along (cuz of feuding Politics)...and in music there is Peace and love...

  • one question. why isn't ur lens locked on his lips? good job, he still looks incredibly beautiful, especially the XCU if him smiling! keep the camera still next time. hard to believe this man is 70! listen 2 him sing "JOOOOOYful". he is still having fun!

ty, kissssssssssss that made my day.

  • Beautiful ! T4P !

  • Bob Dylan sjöng bättre förr.

  • I had the honor of seeing him in 1964 in concert and fell absolutely in love with him. Now I am an old man and my admiration of him hasn't chaged. He has shown us the way music can transform the world. I hope Bob Dylan stays forever young.

  • Because they no nothing at all about music.

  • P.s. by the way...that concert last Thursday in Rotterdam...was just fabulous....perfect accoustics..and you so close by on stage...My Heart felt so good...handsome thing that you are...and sharp dressed..........sigh....no fooling....I want to Marry you.....

  • Hi Babe........Bob? it's eazy peazy to notice that you are also forever young....aint it fun to be so...I think so........tee hee....love from Rainbow girl......(Green Peace)......Annemarie

  • What a mad men! Easy money ..

  • Oh Bob, don't you ever leave us, what a beautiful soul you have. God Bless Him, forever and ever and ever.

  • i saw dylan in cariff on thursday and the sound was that bad people started leavin afta about 4-5 songs...couldnt understand a word he said and the band sounded like a big drone. mark knofler wasnt much better either. very dissapointed indeed..£66 a tiket for fuck all, my old man loves knofler and he said he was shit aswell..aw well such is life.

  • why can't he sing like this more often nowadays? this is a rare example to me of a bob dylan concert clip from 2011 which i am happy to watch again. its a lovely version of a great song.

  • Such an awesome voice at 70.

  • @MAsterKakashi6 It's more awesome that a man would gladly "delete" his famous voice in the 60's and sing with a totally different tone and style, and enjoy singing with his 70 year-old voice. Hail hail Bob Dylan

  • @008devlin

well.. thanks! i'm happy that i will never meet you!

  • a song isnt always about a voice, just listen to the words, rock on bob

  • @marcjamesnorman

Right. There is no dispute this Great American Poet Laureate, Bob Dylan, from Hibbing, Minnesota, USA, can write some deep stuff.

    We talkin' DEEP.

    That Voice: heavy-duty.

Also, if one is into the popular, take note Steve Jobs himself really dug Bob Dylan too.

And so 008devlin, take a clue.

    Better yet:

    On your knees and repent.

  • @008devlin Well, maybe justin beaver would suit you. Beaver has a sweet voice. Stuck in between the glamour of Hollowood and Make-Believe Land: Shallow, Superficial, Empty, Vapid. yet surface-oriented. In contrast, Bob Dylan has the Voice of God. These terms to which you relate, e.g. "millionaire..cannot buy a new voice" is more apt for Hollowood and fake breasts one may purchase. Sorry, but Dignity, Truth, Justice and the American Way------Cannot be bought, Fool.

  • ...seems some crude and half- baked individuals lost their way......

  • i bet he still bangs groupies....pops a viagra and slams a few hot 20 year old chicks...

    may your boner be....."forever young"

  • i like all the people on here talkin trash..im sorry who are u again? oh yea thts right nobody, stfu...

  • what an amazing man he is, hes 70 now or so, seeing him, haha hes like still enjoying every bit of it!

  • Thanks for the close-ups, video Angel! His smile and energy and light are totally transmitting into my cells. He's glowing and now I am too.

  • why is he constantly laughing throughout this performance? think Bob's still on the mary jane, nice one :)

  • Flawless!

  • I saw him a few weeks ago, my son and I left after three songs. Yes he is a legend, but then again so is Mohamid Ali. I'd love to meet him, learn from him, but I wouldn't want to see him fight again.

  • I just spent more money than I have to fly from Canada to Florence to see Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler. I have no doubt that it was the right thing to do; Both my Gods on one bill. Great Video! Thanks

  • Fantastic!

  • i think the most fascinating thing 2 do is film bob dylan. it is quite exciting trying 2 hold the lens steady and capture something that can never be held. a contradiction really, light and dark, grasping at something u can never catch. i wonder why people want 2 possess other people when they fall in love? i think it has something 2 do with holding time still. but u know and i know that time waits 4 no one, so if u r thinking of loving someone, do it now. u may not get another chance.

  • Thanks a bunch for this great clip. Great show indeed (I was there, too).

  • Is he talking about the US dollar ? "May your song always be sung"... ;-)

  • i love the man he helps me through. be grateful he is among us and were able to get great footage like this . fuck the detractors.X.

  • All those morons who claim Dylan can't sing: listen to this. This is Dylan at 70 - and this outstanding footage shows once again that he sings in all sorts styles at will. Even his wonderful old blues man gravelly voice over the past 10 years must be an act he puts on - he can sing however he wants, the mystery is why he does not sing more often like this, instead of in ways that are not always pleasant to everyone's ears. He must have his reasons.

    Thanks a million, austinnowlin

  • 70 & happy as a lark! I agree Forever Young indeed! I just can't get over how happy Dylan is here. He's paid his dues & he deserves all the happines he can hold in his heart! He even appears to be humble & truly blessed here.

  • ...may your song always be sung...thank you so much...

  • WEAR WHERE U THEN

  • A haunting performance of this timeless classic. Forever young indeed.

  • Im not sure why people say Dylan should quit singing/touring.

    This piece is incredible.

  • @ToddAndelin That's right, ToddAndelin: tell'em straight. I REALLY appreciate Dylan in concert. Hope he NEVER stops touring. So glad he does tour. Classic. I firmly believe that Dylan does these shows more as a public service now, rather than just make cash. To those who want to settle for memories of long ago and there seek to restrain Dylan's art in motion, their criticism (i.e., Dylan should stop touring) is an expression of their cheating themselves. Ride on BD. You da Man !!!!

  • @ToddAndelin i saw him 6 days ago .. he was magnificent .. those people are simply wrong ;-) besides that ... let the man himself decide .. he seems to have fun although he never was a smiley ;-)

  • @ToddAndelin Because they don't recognise shear genious

  • @ToddAndelin Because they don't recognise shear genius

  • @ToddAndelin cause people are fucking retarted

  • @ToddAndelin cause people are fuking stupid. simple as that

  • @ToddAndelin for the same reason they listen to Lady Gaga...

  • @ToddAndelin when he performed on his last tour with mark knopfler, I think everyone saw who of both should quit touring...bob is one of the best live performers ever..such a creative artits

  • Awesome performance!

I really don't know how he concentrated on this beautiful song with that glaring light in his eyes, but great for this video & his fans!

Dylan seems like he's enjoying his 2011 performances with a new found energy & a greater voice! Love that smile!

  • Canon... Vraiment canon. I just love him and your video too

  • I saw Bob Dylan on 8-13-11 at Jones Beach Theatre (near NYC). He and the band from this video were in great form.

  • .
