  • The "womena re more perfect" idea is a lie: its what clever, modern rabbis have formulated to simultaneously keep women's mouths shut while keeping the battle fo the sexes to a minimum in the face of a patriarchal tradition that obviously considers them secondary. Actually, thats a nice word for it.

  • Hasidic Jewish men treat their women like cattle.

Anyone who has been exposed to this world knows exactly what I'm talking about.

An "Orthodox Jewish Feminist" is therefore a contradiction in terms and utterly laughable conceit.

  • This what Rambam said about you Women:Nevertheless, it is uncouth for a woman always to leave home - this time to go out and another time to go on the street. Indeed, a husband should prevent a wife from doing this and not allow her to go out more than once or twice a month, as is necessary. For there is nothing more attractive for a woman than to sit in the corner of her home, as [implied by Psalms 45:14]: "All the glory of the king's daughter is within"

    Mishneh Torah, Halchot Ishut,

  • Orthodox Jewish women are real Jewish women who give birth to real Jewish men. New York Atheistic half Jew women feminazi's are not Jewish.

  • People should understand that even though men and women have different roles, they are both important in serving G-d

  • @stars1836

    I agree with you.

  • It is so silly. I as a guy don't love studying the Babylonian Talmud because all they are trying to do if figure out Tanach and most of the men don't even know basic Tanach so it is sort of pointless. But because men do it the women just want to imitate them even though these women should actually be more concerned that the men have a very limited knowledge which the male leaders hope they don't know too much.

  • @Adam6275

as far as i know, the Babylonian Talmud is the code of laws, what we should or shoudn't do.

in this film we see one woman who hasn't learned the Talmud and therefore has to ask her husband who is a Rabi what to do in her daily work. the other woman has studied the Talmud and knows what to do.. i wanted to show how studying helps empowering women.

  • @estieini How is this empowring women??? The Babylonion was written by male Rabbi's just like your husband and to be quite frank as someone who has studied some parts of the Talmud very little practice knowledge is received from the Babylonian Talmud and sometimes they opnely disagree with the Tanach which is a problem. If you want to make the Babylonian Rabbi's who are all men by the way above the Tanach this is not empowering women at all.

  • @estieini And the term "empowering women' suggests that women are oppressed which is my whole point. Do you know how many men are mistreated. Why are women so focused on looking at what men have and if any man has something they don't have they fell envy when so many men are mistreated. And the Talmud is not really a code of laws either. As you don;t even know what the Talmud is but regardless this envy kicks in when women are suppose to be the helpmate of men not have envy all day.

  • @Adam6275

man and should help each other, this is what i believe.

both should be educated and no one should tell the other what to do.

the problem in judaism is that men are not equal to women.

they study, they know what to do, and they tell their wives shat to do.

feminism is not about envying men, but about being equal to men

equal in studying judaism, equal in doing the mizvot and equal in

    everything else.

  • @estieini You are so ruled by your envy of men that you don't even realize how silly you sound. So nobody should tell them what to do then why are they interested in the Babylonian Talmud in which famous male Rabbi's (all men by the way) are telling them what to do. You first sentence of what you believe shows you don't believe in the bible and what God said that God created a woman to be the man's helpmate. So what purpose does this serve other then imitating men.

  • ofcourse we, women wish to learn fron the Rabbis of the Talmud.

we don't wish to learn from our husbands.

in Bereshit 2, men and women are created equal by God

  • @estieini I don't know why. The Babylonian Rabbi's were all men and there were no women. Equal doesn't mean "the same'. A woman being the helpmate of a man doesn't mean she is less of a being but you pick and chose from the Five Books of Moses which isn't right. Both men and women were created in the image of God but have different roles. It is you who are giving all the power to a few men by the way. Sadly you don't care about the 99.9% of men who aren't Babylonian Rabbi's.

  • @Adam6275

I do care about men!! I do care about my husband and I love him very much, but I don't like men who dictate women in every step they take.

I do respect the Babylonian Rabbis because they were sages, but I don't think all men have better brains than women.

i think men and women are not the same , women give birth and men don't, but other than that they are not so much different from each other.

  • @estieini Yes, you do hate men. You know why! You just said you don't like men who dictate to women every step they take. Well male Rabbi's are always telling other men how to do everything and you like other men being slave to Rabbi's and even in area's they have little life experience. So you punish other men because you love the male Babylonian Rabbi's so much and think they are so smart. You are a classic envy person that shouldn't even use a computer since this invention was made by men.

  • @Adam6275

well, i think i'll stop using the computer now, please forgive me but i feel this discussion doesn't lead us anywhere.

  • @estieini I understand. I am not a man who is a Bablyonian Rabbi. So therefore a Jewish man that isn't a Babylonian Rabbi is someone that their idea's and what they have to say you ignore. I really feel bad for your husband and i really hope you don't have any sons because I know they are ignored by their own mother because of their own constant envy of men and their pagan idea's of men and women that are in complete contradiction to the torah and common sense and science as well.

  • I think I understand your views quite well. You think men and women have different roles in life. women should be help mates to their husbands. you think there is no justification for feminism. it is just being envy of men.

did i get you right? i tried my best to understand you siince you took your time to watch my film and comment on it, and i thank you for that.

by the way i have 2 wonderfull sons who love me as much as i love them and this is a lot!

  • @estieini Yes, I don't think there is any justification for feminism and at the end of the day the women become the helpmate of either Rabbis or men in the government and that doesn't make the world better or more equal. It just creates less checks and balances for a few men on top. A woman's nature is to be the helpmate of some man. The Rabbis do promote not loving men in your own family. The daughters of Zelphcad in inheriting property had to marry within their tribe.

  • @estieini Also the wife is actually just being the helpmate of the husband here in helping to promote the male Rabbi's of the Babylonian Talmud.

  • @Adam6275

any studying can help empwering women because if their husband would say: "i know what to do because i "have studied, and you don't know anything because you haven't studied, therefore just do what i tell you to do,

  • @estieini

then if she can say that she has studied and she knows what to do, he can't rule her and tell her what to do. as simple as that.

  • @estieini . So instead of listening to their husband they listen to some male Rabbi in the Talmud in which they don't know why they are dong it either. It is about hating your husband and following some other man. But actually that is what feminism is. Instead of women being the helpmate of their husband which is their nature to be the helpmate of some man that will be the helpmate of some well known men who were imperfect in their own right like the Babylonian Rabbi's.

  • Get back in the damn kitchen.

  • @PILMAN

I can't go back to the kitchen because I have never been there

Besides, I know many men who like cooking...

How about you trying to cook? you might enjoy it....

  • This video doesn't concern itself at all with the Mesorah (Tradition) and what has been done for thousands of years that has kept and preserved the Jewish people. Its sounds much nicer when they talk about women's enpowerment but we are living in a unique time in history and Torah observance has been put on the defensive against modernists that seek to change or invalidate it as old school and not relevent. "In the past and now Jewish Orthadox women are treated better than in any other nation.

  • @genagin

Yes, you are right that I did't deal with important issues like the tradition and the dangers to it in our time. I just could'nt deal with it in the time limit I had

  • @estieini I'm sorry to here that.. who is your audience for this video exactly, since it is posted on Youtube it has probably more non jewish viewers than jewish viewers who have little or no basic understanding of the fundamentals of Judaism.

  • @genagin One of the best thing that preserves the Jewish people is their being allowed to live in FREEDOM in Republics.

  • @SatchmoSings ....so what is your implication here that there is no freedom in a jew keeping the laws of the Torah?

  • @genagin In the Republics of this earth, Jewish people are allowed to keep Torah . . . but within proscribed limits, for example even though Jewish Religious Law says it is permissible to be a slave owner, that is obviously not legal in a Republic.

The whole concept of Republicanist Law has a totally different wellspring than that of Halakah and I personally would not care to live under Halakah; I personally prefer Republicanism.

  • @SatchmoSings ok so your've just proven yourself completely ignorant of Judaism and Torah law.

  • @genagin I take that response to mean that the obvious answer is that since I don't accept Jewish Religious Law, I must be thoroughly ignorant of it, because if I knew Jewish religious Law in all its depth and wonder, I would of course fall so totally in love with it I would want to live under it/by it.

  • @genagin 02. That's pretty much the same answer I get from Communists, Socialists, Islamists and Christians.

Maybe in your infinite knowledge of wisdom of this religious law, you could come up with a more convincing response, rather than this regurgitive nonsense that I've heard, ad nauseum.

If you wish to live under a non-existent tyrant in the sky, and, good slave that you are, emulate His tyrannical behaviour and ideas, you go right ahead.

  • It is sad the women just want to imitate men. And the Rabbi's have used this fake idea that women are naturally more spiritual which if true then women should rule over men. The sad part is if the women just want to focus on irrelevant pieces of talmud they really are pathetic and just live for jealousy of men which is against the 10 commandments. Some things obviously have no biblical basis. For example the torah considers an adult at age 20 yet Rabbi's made it at 13 and 12.

  • @Adam6275 It is sad that you deny individuals their rights as such, but insist that they MUST have proscribed roles as per Jewish Religious Law.

Thankfully, Republicanism, under force of law, protects individuals as such.

Ultimately, if someone is capable of something, why would G-d give such a person a talent and then proscribe that they can't use it because they're female?

  • @SatchmoSings What the heck is Republicanism. Most Politicians don't care about the average Joe and his family. Please!!

If they want to just imitate men they can do that although it just shows they have meaningless lives to always look at what men have. Especially since to be honest men studying Gemarah all day is not really something that is helping them understand their own religion. And of course the Rabbi's in their own profession only hire women as secretaries.

  • @Adam6275 First of all, I find it rather offensive that in order to justify Halakah you have to denigrate Republicanism; I know I certainly didn't do the reverse. Indeed, even an Orthodox Jewish weekly such as "The Jewish Press" is filled with endless examples of supposedly Torah-observant Jews, including so-called community and religious leaders obviously behaving outside the realm of accepted Jewish Religious Law, so don't hand me such nonsense.

  • @Adam6275 02. Secondly, I made the stupid mistake of assuming that you live in a Republicanist nation; I didn't check your profile and anyway, you're way too much of a coward to post one.

Thirdly, you are not to judge other people's motives especially since I threw your initial point back at you.

And lastly, you can't answer my question about G-d giving people specific talents and abilities and then proscribing them not to use them.

  • @Adam6275 03. Oh, and by the way, now that I noticed you have no available profile here on "Youtube," I'm frankly not interested in one single word you have to say.

  • I'm not Jewish, but as a Noahide, I am somewhat familiar with Jewish beliefs. Personally, I consider myself a feminist and like the idea of women taking a more active role in learning Torah. However, my only concern is that there may be a loss of public modesty as there has been in America. As long as there is no loss of modesty, I believe the men have little to complain about (IMHO). Peace.

  • @migz623

As far as I know her and her group they are very mosest.

  • interesting!

Anyway, religion is a lie, so every feminist and actually everyone, is better to be cured from religion and start think independently.

  • @davidharov

They want to think independently and remain in their belief. it is not easy but it is much better than the others.

  • If he women are perfect according to Torah, they can only become more perfect than perfect by studying the Torah and learn about the teachings themselves. If that's what matters in a so called "man's world" for the time we are supposed to live in one, then so be it. I like these women. They do nothing wrong, because they love HaShem and live their spiritual life. More spiritual power to them! :)

  • these women love HaShem and live a spiritual life, but there is nothing wrong in wanting to study Torah like men do.

  • If there status is Higher than us; albeit they are Spiritually higher than us according to the excuse of sexist men and brainwashed women, than why are the women not on the Bimah? Why are we men not on the other side of the M'chitzah not being counted in the Minyan? Why are women not teaching Torah? Why are men not at home doing the work?

  • you are right, there is no reason why women should not study Torah. things are begining to change because women want to be on the Bimah.

  • @cordelia427 Good point! I am disgusted by the Argument Women are more spiritual than us and thus are exempt! I'm sorry if that was the case than we would be excluded from everything and you would take over! Chag Sameyach!

  • @MenechemShaul

    חג שמח!

  • @estieini Same to you!

  • Actually I am not sure if Rabbi's started feminism or the church did although Jesus made an excuse for a woman that committed adultry and the torah views adultry as a horrible sin regardless of which gender is doing it. Many Orthodox Rabbi's don't allow other men to work or help them get a job and push women to work instead. Of course in their own profession it is different. That is classic feminism which was started by men. Many women work for the Rabbi's more then their husband. Also feminism.

  • Feminism is a form of marxism. Check out a Jewish woman from Jerusalem who writes a blog called Domestic Felicity. Rabbi's have been practicing feminism for over a 1,000 years which I think they picked up from the church as I am reading a book called the church impotent the feminization of Chrisitianity. When it comes to OTHER JEWS WHO THE MAN ISN'T A RABBI they put men down and pander to women. Only in their profession of Rabbi's is it different which is classic feminism.

  • The translation is almost never correct, in both sides... Too partial.

  • Their arguments are clearly opposite of those in the Talmud.

  • please give an example to an argunent opposite the Talmud

  • @WurmNadasdy They are modest, what more do you want! We are living in 2010 not in the Times of Talmud!

  • Yes, she is my hero.......

  • at 2:39 this woman in red has it perfect
