Wow, where to begin. Not only is Pte. Dumont responding while being spoken to she also neglects to use the proper rank. She talks, moves here head, displays appalling attitude (especially for being in week 6), tosses stuff around in a fit. I'm surprised the PO didn't go up one side and down the other harder than he did.
@GIDAN2987 It's all for the camera... although 13 push is rather pathetic :P. Like iceland2121 said, CF training is on par with the US Marine Corps. Yours might actually be more lax, no offense :)
@ImonYTehh Then how come CF couldn't do anything right in the sandbox? We had a prior CF guy at Infantry School who couldn't landnav his way out of a bathroom, couldn't react to contact from any direction except the front, and he'd been CF Infantry for SIX years...
I amjust flabbergasted at the way they deal with private dumont. If my drill instructors had come across a disgusting recruit like that, my Senior DI would have applied pressure on her skull causing it to collapse ending her life functions, that is after he It'd her and the rest of the platoon. And why is Navy personnel training Army recruits?
Is it a navy thing to lean on walls like PO Robinson? It doesn't look very professional; with that being said I can't imagine units sending their finest to the schools..
- if having hair and/or earrings is impractical (wich it is if you're to fighting a war), it doesn't matter what parts you have down south - if an enemy gets the jump on you because you were brushing the hair out of your eyes, or untangling your earring from whatever, he's not going to care if you have breasts or not.. you're going to have 50% of your head filling decorated on the wall behind you. If a recruit has an issue with it, they're not suited for combat, next candidate.
Personally, I find it offensive that women aren't required to perform equally to men in the military. I don't care if a male is geneticly (spellcheck?) superior to a female, if a female is going to serve beside a male, and said male NEEDS to be able to count on said soldier (in this case the female) to hike his bullet-riddled body out of a situation for medical attention.. I don't wanna hear "but I passed the physical exams with flying colours!!". Same with the hair/jewelery situation -
This is how training and inspection should be, now its real talk. In the previous episodes, i felt that the army was easy on the recruits, now theyr showing them whose their daddy. thats why these little recruits are freaking out and crying. good job canadian military
@PuckSlapper83 if your positive and willing to put up with the shit they go through, then you'll fit right in haha try it, if you dont like it, then atleast you tried it
Everybody can when there young, thats the point, when I was 13 you couldn't stop me, push ups (clap), chin ups, sit ups, I could damn near go for ever, I'v never got to a number in which I had to stop (and I'v bin up in the 200 range)
But now, at 19 years old you'll be lucky to get 25 out of me. If you have it, you have to work to keep it, and if you lose it, you'll have to work 10x as hard to get it back
@PuckSlapper83 my cousin said , just to be prepared . its good you can do pushups , just helping yourself , my cousin told me ( im also joining ) run , run ,run and everytime you get to work out because it just helps you
HEY! if ur looking into the army i recommend using P90X fitness program prior to joining, after 1 month i increased my push-ups up to 80 from 25, n shaved 13% body fat off my body.....and u wont be tired after only 13 push-ups :P
man i dont know how people cant even do 10 push ups... 10 push ups should just be natural from work you do i everyday life... I am so glad 16 year olds that have graduated grade 10 are aloud to be in the reserves... Hopefully the reserves give me the military life to keep my satisfied until i get to go Reg Force once i graduate highschool
I'm not in the cf but I'm thinking of joining. I think you have to sign a 9 year contract and you have to do something in the military relating to that field. But I'm not in the cf so you'd have to ask a recruiter.
@gfunkel200 you have to do a number of years in the service after you have finished your military school but yes, through the ROTC program, they will pay for your education
@CanadianArmyNews is that all? in the American Army you have to do 42 in order to pass a PT test, I'm surprised at that, You guys train well but i'm surprised to hear that.
