  • god its so beautiful, i love listening to it. i try and listen to it once a day to remind myself that there is something to hope for.

  • @gworling It is inspiring isn't it? I listen to it often as well.

  • What an amazing man the world lost when Carl Sagan died.

  • You should be ashamed to post this kinds of speeches in here...

  • ...Ashamed to post something that's well-spoken, inspiring, and deep?

  • I was answering to someone that .. from what I see deleted his comment !

  • Does anyone know if there´s a downloadable mp3 of this tune anywhere on the web? Would love to have both Sagan and Hawking singing in my ears on my way to work:)

  • In related videos, click on "melodysheep"'s version of this vid. Then click on "more info" in the video description. There you will find a link to a mp3 for free download of this awesome song.

  • The only time I don't feel conflicted about the malevolence and banality of humanity is when I'm listening to Carl Sagan.

  • Yes! His optimism fills me with hope that humanity can become better.

  • This is a very well made remix. There are many like this on youtube, but rarely do any come out as masterfully as this video.

  • Very elegant!

    Beautiful job.

  • "The Barry Manilow of Science"

  • You forget the internet is full of people fucking around. Don't take it seriously.

  • Dawkins isn't in this video. That's Stephen Hawking. And it is EPIC and awesome.

  • Any chance you've got these comments on approval as well puppetsocker?

How very religious of you. VenomFangX would be proud.

This is melodysheep's work - give credit where it is due.

  • RIP Carl.

  • whoop ucha

  • so...beautiful...

  • This is amazing. I love carl baby. RIP.

  • If only more people would pay homage to intelligent human beings instead of celebrities or pop idols.

Why people don't stand in awe of the intellectuals and thinkers that gave us the science and technology that changed our lives so much I'll never know. We stand on the shoulders of giants like Sagan and Hawking.

  • Pretty much this. Hey, here's a fun game; think about this concept for more than a minute and see how bleak humanity looks.

  • Let's not forget the comedic genius of George Carlin.

  • i'm englishand i know him, he was awsome

  • Yes! These heroes shaped our lives and the lives of all who have yet to be born. Mean while fearful idiots pray to their sky daddy jesus and hide their heads in the sands of ignorance.

  • No need to diss theists, but yes you're right. Science has saved the lives of billions and made /everyone's/ life better, but yet I would say they are some of the most unappreciated people you can find.

There need to be more videos like this saluting great women and men of science, and more series like QI for example that applaud knowledge instead of stupidity.. does this sound too bitter?

  • om nom nom nom nom nom nom WIN!

  • Pure. Awesome.

  • lol

  • awesome.....!

  • FUCK YES

  • epic win!!11!!

  • Oh my god man, this is beautiful!

  • I'm not ashamed to admit I cried. Beautiful.

  • Thanks for sharing this man.
