@FenderB3nder35 Check out Maddaveman's gumbi tutorial video, he explains it really well. Basically, it's a cancel of the Capoeira Au Compasso/ wheel kick/ handstand kick. A cartwheel to the outside is really vague, but there's no better way to describe it.

I have a problem with gumbi, because I do cartwheel with my left hand first, but when I try to do a raiz I go over my right side -_-

Can you cartwheel on your right side at all?

Learn that then try gumbis on that side.

Think of a Gumbi as doing a cartwheel, then quickly trying to turn it into a back handspring. Pretty much all it is. Some of each. It has amazing swingthru possibilities when you get it down.

no. a cartwheel goes straight over the top, a gumbi swings behind you. Watch some raizs and some aerials to see the difference.

If you want to learn raiz, this move might not even teach you. I got raiz before I got gumbi. Unless of course, you want an invert raiz. In that case, learn this move first.
