Benjamin Orr received the highest number of votes on a Cars popularity poll from the Heartbeat City fan website. He got 22 votes. I voted for Elliot Easton and sure enough he and Ric Ocasek tied at 15 votes. David Robinson received 8 votes and Greg Hawkes only got 4. I guess the fact that Ben won the popularity contest proves that he was the most popular Cars member and considered the sexy heartthrob of the band.

I even judged potential girlfriends by if they could say the name on my band, The Cars, and sound cute. The Cars may not be the best band, but they are my band!

He kissed good too! Yes, I had the pleasure in OKC on 2-22-82. Met him in the lobby of the Sheraton after a concert, talked for about a half hour then he kissed me.....long, wet and with tongue!  I almost fainted dead away and he actually grabbed my arm and asked if I was ok (a little embarrassing - but he was probably used to it). He was WONDERFUL and was SO sweet to this starstruck fan!
