@leostomicek Ahh yes, thank you friend. I do not blame them ... things are getting scary. Germany is the only country doing it right. Too much Solar Power so they sell it as exports... and Germany has low unemployment. American better do the same and get out of Oil and cut ties with Britain Empire or we are all toast.
One good thing about all these Nukes is that no matter what countries do cooperation in terms of 'security' ( aka Military ) ... if they the countries NOT involved in such developments for 'security' (aka Military ) have little to worry about in the way of possible military actions as a threat. Just throw a nuke their way and that is that... so Nukes in a way have really thwarted future wanna be tyrants. Not saying German OR Russia are tyrants.. just saying that is the effect of the nukes.
@Teranex Those collapses(or, at the very least, some serious negative impacts) could still happen/hit within the next 10-15 years. The Chinese bubble is of particular interest with graying(aging populace) starting to hit within the next decade or two. Russia has a similar issue. The population graying is going to seriously hit the Chinese economy in time and it is already hitting Russia, so it will be interesting to see how both respond.
It is going to be an interesting two decades coming up.

There also were no major disturbances in Russia and the trust in government remains one of the highest in the world as of current. Friedman claims Russia will start a war with the west and lose, which will cause its collapse (lol). While the chance of China collapsing is no bigger then the Chance of USA collapsing. Friedman is just wish-thinking in favor of the USA.
@Futuregohan14 Not to mention Friedman is also fully ignoring the EU, because the entity is simply not fitting into his fairy world of US global dominance, even trough the combined militaries and GDP are way higher then the one of the US. The USA reached its peak in 1980-2000 and its now in decline, especially because of its foren policy and its dept (to China).

We may start to see quite a few demographic changes on the horizon out in Europe. You could argue that we already are, actually.

Yet Friedman has also an interesting opinion on that topic, he says that USA will get stronger because it has "room to grow" (AKA lower population density) in comparison to Japan for example. Per his opinion it means that the nation with most potential is the one of which population has the greatest possibility to "grow". So that means Kazakhstan has more potential then for example Japan.
