  • it penitraits through the tooth enamale not this fast but ......

    LOL NO FALSE ADVERTISING

  • @mevgirl06

    *penetrates*

  • Don't forget about Danny Cooksey from ' Diff'rent Strokes' (the red head)

  • I don't know if I can make this dream come true. Colgate Wisp™. The mini-brush with a cool, refreshing bead. Used without water anytime, anywhere for a fresh, clean mouth. Colgate Wisp™. Don't get caught without it.

  • "We're going to ruin this perfectly good piece of chalk to show you that Colgate penetrates your tooth enamel. But it's nothing like this. So never mind."

  • Who the hell made this commercial? It is horrible! "Colgate's fluoride penetrates the surface of tooth enamel, not this fast, but it gets in.." Hadn't the marketing staff ever heard of TIME LAPSED FOOTAGE. Dumb 70's people lol.

  • I love Corey Feldman especially in the Lost Boys and Stand By Me

  • aww... corey feldman is so cute XD

    FELDMAN<3

  • Corey looks so cute as a eight year old

  • Im very sure thats not him

  • Cory's sister is Mindy Feldman from the 70's Mickey Mouse Club.

  • omg feldman soooo little there! pretty adorable

  • Awesome

  • LMAO! idk why this made me laugh! haha

  • aww

  • WATCH (ALL MY CHILDREN) WEEKDAYS @ 1/12c ON ABC!

  • Damn . . that is Corey Feldman at 0:10

  • that looks like sam off the later seasons of diff'rent strokes

  • The kid holding the fish or the ginger kid?

  • @thegirl44

corey feldman had blonde hair until he was like 17

  • @rayyohappy

    He was, too, wasn't he?

I remember wondering when I saw "Stand By Me" if they had dyed his hair for the part as I had seen his later movies before I saw that film.

  • @thegirl44

no in all his other movies i saw he was blone-ish, but in dream a little dream it was black. idk why his hair looks different in that commercial... maybe its the film quality?

  • @rayyohappy

That's the most likely answer, ray, good call.

Photostock from the 70's became "sepia" very quickly, you can see the predominant red in this commercial. Our family photo albums from the 70's are of such poor quality stock that it looks as though every picture were taken in a red lit room.

  • lol i love how the comentator is like not this fast but gets the job done anyway. thanks captian ovious

  • My teeth fell out

  • continued:

Very good, even though duration of all this was a matter of seconds. Problem was it was shown late at night near closedown (yes, the good old days).

    1) Why did those campaigns aimed at children run late at night? Crossing the road safely was another. Q2) Anybody got a copy of this?

  • There was b&w cartoon public campaign ad for children to clean their teeth. A boy walking along what one thought was a wall and then an incline. He looked down looking into a gaping mouth and said' Look mum a crocodile',

His mother just casually replied something like " yes son. I wonder if he also cleans his teeth every morning and night ?".

With this the boy blushes - as to say he does not.

  • This is a pretty good commercial. I LOVE classic commercials.

  • Wow I still use that specific version of colgate. It is the only one that really makes your mouth feel clean. I wonder what they use for it.

  • Oh wow! I remember that chalk thingy. I remember I use to take the chalk from school to try to demo that part at home.LOL But I never knew what it was to do? LOL

    \

  • Oh Brother!!!

  • Blast from the past. As soon as I saw the chalk breaking open, the whole ad came flooding back into my mind.

  • Oh Jeez....I was a TV junkie as a kid.....I remember this ad all too well. The chalk!

  • I tend to remember another version where the jingle isn't quite as upbeat .. it sounded more 70ish than this one

  • Lol, "not this fast but it gets in and fights cavities"

  • wow! classic!

  • Love that song it brightens my mood.

  • I never understood that chalk in the green fluid demo. Still don't. But for some reason it works.

  • Ilike how they had to add "Not this fast..." Good to see disclaimers weren't limited to the 90s-00s.

  • THAT'S IT!! That's the Colgate commercial I remember with this particular jingle!

  • World was a better place in the 70's

    Great memories..Thank you

  • @pincerpal Please explain.
