Now i would try using standard tuning of course of with a capo on the first fret like he is using in this video if not then it's a half step down with a capo at the first fret. To me is sounds like he is in standard tuning with a capo at the first fret!

His voice brings tears to my eyes. He truly has a magnificent voice and a way of speaking to others through his music!! I love this man (figuratively speaking I've never met him :)) He truly has a gift and the 7 people that accidently disliked this don't understand how blessed we are to hear this beautiful music.
