i kinda get it though. he didn't take his hand because he wanted to kill mace windu. he was about to kill palpatine who was his only chance of saving padme.

What do you mean, Palpatine was the only chance of saving Padme?

In the end, Anakin kills Padme because of the new power that has arisen in him, and although Obi-Wan angered him very much by showing up, the Dark Side made Anakin go mad.

Palpatine made Anakin go to the Dark Side, combined with Obi-Wan appearing, this led to the death of Padme.

Also, Samuel L. Jackson is a beast, he's not allowed to die.

That part was kind of a jump, even for a long movie, for a character to move from good to evil. Lucas and Spielberg should have developed the dysfunctional relationship of Mace Windu and Anakin a bit more to make that part, and thus the transition, more believable.

As far as the Empire not ever rising, well, that's still quite a conjecture to make based on one decision, but you might be right!

@matdevil01 That certainly was a strong force acting upon Anakin's morals, but I would not agree that killing all the Sand People (desert guys is close enough though, lol) was the single event that opened Anakin up to the dark side.

Anakin, ever since leaving Tatooine was afraid for his mother. This is probably the single factor that set Anakin on the wrong path.

Also, there are shades of grey with the force; no single jedi is not entirely Light or Dark.

Anakin was a fool for assisting the Emporer to kill Windu.

If he wasen't there, the Empire would of never rose, Padme would be alive, and Akakin would be there for Luke and Leia.

Yes, they wouldn't of.

But you may never know, before Palpetine, there was another Sith Lord, and the cycle continues, another Sith Lord would be born, maybe around Palpetine's age, and that Sith Lord would be the primary focus.

All in All, I still think Anakin was an idiot for following Papletine, and should of let Windu assassinate him.
