  • this wing chun is the top of the line,so so real..thank you for this vid..peace

  • Nice sound track. Sounds like pink floyd...

  • ip man and leung's interpretations are authentic. its there interpretation just like this is theirs. What an ignorant statement. These book masters think they know it all after reading a few pages in a book. I have been doing martial arts for over 15 years. I have used kung fu in competitions and fights. it isn't about lineages or black belt sashes. True martial arts has died because of such non sense from people without understanding!

  • even ip man's students, or even wong shun leung's students have slight differences of their interpretations of the wing chun forms. that explains the difference in this particular chum kiu interpretation. of course, it is clear that this is a non-ip man lineage of wing chun. this is what they call "authentic" in the olden days as against the "non-authentic" wing chun of ip man, leung bik, etc..

  • nice way of showing true wing chun

  • wer can i learn this system her in cebu?

  • @theputhaw in Sacred Heart Center. 3rd floor. Go through the side parking entrance.

  • @theputhaw but i think they also have in IT park

  • @theputhaw There is only one Wing Chun group in Cebu under Sifu Sergio. Our Chief Instructor is the one demonstrating the Chum Kiu in this video. IWKA under Sifu Sergio teaches at Asiatown IT Park, Cebu. Please text 0927-5176555 for details.

  • Great to see a slight difference on the Yip Man Chum Kiu, same same but different!!

  • thank you very very much sifu for posting this one. we, your group here in Cebu is going strong.

  • sweet! I'm dying to learn wing chun here in the philippines! cuz i really don't see any wing chun dojo here in Davao City, but i wanna learn things from you!

sie sie~ Sifu Sergio and Percival Rico

  • @mercedclark Hey man. There is Wing Chun (Wan Kam Leung) in Davao City now since I live in El Rio at the moment (close to Victoria Plaza Mall). Just private message me here and I'll get back to you

  • Very interesting to watch indeed. I do wing chun bui jee, chum kiu, and sil lim tao. This could be a new form of wing chun, if it is, what's it called?

  • @macktheknife888 naw it's not a new form, it's just same chum kiu most schools have. maybe yours differs from it though

  • This is very interesting..I have been practicing Jun fan jeet kune do and it seems like some of the movements ia fusion between wing chun and bruce lee's jeet kune do.

  • @frostbite1973 wing chun is actually the basic of jeet kune do. After bruce lee was rejected by grandmaster Ip man he devised his own style, but the basic still revolves around wing chun. bruce lee never learned all the techniques of GM ip man.

  • @foxjourney

I see more fencing boxing and savate in Lee's art tha wc but JKD buy the way isnt even a style!

  • @foxjourney....... rejected by GM ....????

This is the first time I acrooss this info...Can you please elaborate on this.

  • @shan00r This might be long. Bruce Lee was rejected by Grandmaster Ip Man when he requested the latter to take part in filming the 116 wooden dummy form for his film career. This, and the fact that BL was struggling with the long bridge method of WC when fighting western boxers, spurred him to advance upon the "1/2 beat method" of WC. "Jeet Kune" actually started out as the expression of the "Pak & Punch" drill...An expression of the Bruce's philosophy on interception and dominance. [CONT]

  • @Warkiam

[CONT] Bruce's first deviance with the Wing Chun system was his Jun-Fan kung fu system. Jun Fun (at least back then, the meaning has changed since now) can be described as a classical system, while JKD can not. In any case, Ip Man's refusal of both being filmed and in teaching Bruce more movements in the dummy section, caused Bruce to change the WC system to better suit his needs. They still have a level of respect for eachother.

  • @Warkiam There's actually an article written about this in Sifu Hawkins Cheung's website. Just google Hawkins Cheung, and you will find it easily enough. Be warned though,

the man, being a friend of Bruce Lee, doesn't suck up to him. Honesty in martial arts is what is missing these days.

  • very nice video. I am very interested in wing chun.

  • This is very, very intersting! Thanks, Sifu Sergio!

  • The moves are very similar to my chum kiu. but there seems to be alot more hand jiggling

  • @ssj7gokurpg This is Chum Kiu in the Philippine lineage. Yes the execution is different. :)

  • Thanks for sharing, it is always interesting to see how different ways of doing the same form have developed over the different lineages over the years.

  • I agree, it looks interesting. An explanation regarding the execution would be great, since some moves are totally different

  • im tellin u if i was a mixed martial artist i would add wing chun and filipino panantukan filipino aka (boxing) sifu sergio please if u have time i would to see you get a video on panantukan and i would love to hear your opinion.if u combine both these styles u would become a deadly fighter.

  • I love his bong saos.

  • Very interesting footage!

  • Great form. Very interesting.

  • Very nice sir!
