i have a 95 sts,, these cars arent terrible on gas on the highway, however hard accelerations u can watch the guage drop, i get about 25mpg on the highway
ive gotten 28mpg in my 96 sls. in the single digit to teen temperatures however the mpg on highway dropped down to around 14, northstars dont react well to extremely cold temperatures, but most engines probably dont
haha yeah, ate a hell lotta gas, actually i think i spent more on gas than i did to buy the car... and thats not an exageration... but i loved that car nothing will ever be as fun, drive a ford focus 3dr hatch atm its way more reliable than the seville but just seems dull in comparison..
Yeah saw what you meant (95oldsaurora), at 80 its does calm down quite a bit, but usually no probs while over taking annoying drivers... got a speeding ticket after over taking an old mustang. Had to go to a few classes as well... as it was a 77 on a 40 zone.
wrong you can put a cold air intake on them=+10hp plus a good cat-back exhaust=+10hp performance plugs and wires=+ bout 6hp and you could also try and sts turbo setup
The Seville already has a stock CAI. 1998+ can modify their airbox to allow more cool air from the fenderwall in. There are no performance plugs for the Northstar. Stock AC Delco 41-950's are the 'performance parts'. STS turbo setup on these cars runs over 12,000$.
Hell yeah, STS's are bad ass! I just took my STS over 125 mph tonight, you can see it in my video if you click on my username to see my channel. They're nice and smooth at high speeds and handle beautifully... a truly amazing car.
yeah, i dont have a vid, but managed to get mine to 152, which whas amazingly scary as things started to fall apart, both my side view mirrors fell off but some tape stopped that happening.
well in the 4t80-e transmission third gr is actually an overdrive gr. also becuz an overdrive gr with a ratio 1:1 and it has that thus the making the northstar+4t80-e combo a beast right up till bout 80mph then it kinda falls on its face but they still pull pretty hard right up to there limiters

very nice, its fast for luxury four door family car. how many miles? Can't really see(75000)
BTW did you car give you a problem for 2-3 shift, it looks like it just stopped there.
mark0101 3 years ago
it has about 110000 miles on it, not sure if its a prob cuz during city driving it shifts seamlessly.
