I called Les Moonves' office at CBS today. After weeks of calls... NOW they tracking the number of calls and the city and state you're calling from (so call again). Mr. Moonves' assistant agreed that Rich Fields should be back on the air. Call and let your voice be heard. Boycott their advertisers! Stop recording the show on your DVR... they get credit. Keep up the pressure... It's working!

at first, i thought that rich wanted to leave on his own terms but in finding out that he still wanted the job and was fired for a new approach, i just think its kind of cruel of fremantle or mike richards or whoever made that decision in the first place....im thinking drew could've had a factor into this cuz he excels at improv comedy (as seen as whose line) and probably wanted some of those skills to be added into price...

@Firealarmking52 No. He did not begin Season 39 at all. He told me himself, I've been in contact with him. I'm VP of his fan club on Facebook and he keeps us updated as well. Currently reruns are being aired.

I agree!!! Sorry Drew, Rich Fields should be the host and Burton Richardson should be the announcer. Years ago, Johnny Olson announced at least five game shows at the same time, so Burton could do this and Family Feud at the same time.

Rich is referring to show years. (seasons) He started in Season 32. He replaced Rod Roddy and was named the new announcer and then finished season 32. He since has done season 33, 34, 35 and 36!!! Thus 5 years, really meaning 5 seasons. He is the BEST!

Funny you should mention something about Johnny O, because I heard that Rich attended a taping of the show in 1978. When Johnny took questions from the audience, Rich asked how he could get his job. Then Johnny invited him up to the mic using Johnny's name, and of course the 'come on down' line. He supposedly sounded so good that Johnny pretended to be pissed and grabbed the mic back before Bob heard him backstage. I read about it in the behind the scenes book.

I think Rich has a really cute laugh..it  reminds me of the parts in the Movie "Michael" where Michael the archangel (John Travolta) laughs at things that weren't really funny.. and thats the part with "Car Bingo"..Rich is a cool and sweet man!!
