I'm sorry for the person who said they put their Bible down because of people like him. He is not boasting at all, he is magnifying the blessing that comes from living your life the way God intended. What God has done for one, he will do for all. We don't know what Canton went through to get where he is, but his battle is not over, it never will be. God doesn't want us to drive a pinto, where is the glory in that. God wants us to prosper in every area of our life.

Hmmm. I like this song a lot (very catchy chorus). But I will say some parts of the message can be misleading to those who are not so mature in their walk with Christ.
When reviewing songs like this it depends on individual interpretation & whether it lines up with the Word of God..
Mr Jones is clearly glorifying God for what he has. However, the last verse before the chorus implies the "living your best life now" when instead we should be storing our treasures in Heaven (Matt 6:20).
God doesn't condemn having riches. As long as we do not idolize them or become greedy with them 'cause we can't serve God and mammon (1 Tim 6:17,, Romans 6:24).
In all things..God MUST come FIRST. If you put money before God, that's where you're trippin'. His greatest desire is for us to set our hearts on things above and not on things on this earth....

last year in december i met canton jones. he came to my church where PASTOR JOHN HANNAH is over the ministry. ever since then ive been in love with his music but now im comin back to it and stayin true to god... i love gospel music and i just think his songs are best for the youth this is the future so people get ready because god is sendin a message the only way us hard headed young folk will understand

@bubblesdupas thats great to know and i think the main reason why young people dislike gospel (and in some cases going to church) is because they dont get the concept and they dont get to hear music that is set for our generation so basically there's no connection or when they start dancing to gospel music older people start trippin on either the song or how they're dancing but honestly its not about how they dancing or what they dancin g to it's suppoze to be about who they dancing for!!!!

If our church members take a reality check test of themselves they will learn that a lot of us in the church have a habit of makeing the church into a click. almost to say everyone is not allowed. we say one thing and our actions show another. its a shame isnt it? Kids pick up on that very quick because they look for it as soon as they go. they wait for someone to find something wrong with them and its just all bad.
@rachellechaff real talk. recently i learned that peopl misinterpret the reason for going to churcch. they forget the reason why they got saved and start focusing on things like whos wearing,saying, or doing something that isnt "churchy". teens and kids get tired of being judged so they start to think that there is no reson to come to church, or they think that its to hard being a christian. they need to stop forming clicks and start forming a chior or dane ministry for god.

I recently saw this young man perform in Hephzibah, GA and I must say he's Phenomenal! He’s so talented, gifted with God's anointing! I was blown away at his appeal to the youth. I've never seen young people lose it for Christ the way they did at his concert. I liked him before, now that I've seen him live... WHOOHOOO!!! I love Him! I pray the more of God be upon him and all that he does as he goes forth winning souls for Christ! I bought both of his CD's, please do the same, it's $ well spent!
Ok, I'm old school so even after meeting this guy about 8 months ago I still didn't check him out. I'm so glad 2 day was the day because its right on time. Why must one assume that money is on his mind and not God? Money serves one purpose, and that is to be spent at one point or another. Jesus was not poor and that is who we are aiming to be like. people envied him and gambled over his clothes. God gives us the desires of our hearts and money is NOT the root of all evil so what is wrong with buying things that one likes?

He is God and we are not. He tells us how to live. We do not tell him how we live. You either obey or disobey. I cannot see this singers heart though. They gave me this mean looked so I blasted my music up louder & gave them a thumbs up. @dominicano0226- i know u posted about a month ago, but i see what youre saying, when i first heard this song i loved it but there are false teachings indeed. i believe these young artists are really trying to change but arent at the spiritual level that calls them out on such things. Im sure Canton knows by now what was written in his song doesnt completely match up to the Word, but as jesusfreak mentioned it does minister to a lot of lost people, theyll find the truth in the Word.
But the Bible says that the heart is most decietful of all things. How can you trust a heart that is decietful? Buddhists also believed they will not go to hell. But we know otherwise because of the Bible.
Buddhists also dont believe in God. Jehovah Witness believe in God. They jus believe that they r the only ones doing right by God. I also beleive that the flesh is more decitful cause Jesus said the Spirit is willing but the Flesh is weak.

Hebrews 11 verse 6 states that it is imposible to please God without Faith and anyone who comes to him must beleive that he exist and he rewards them earnestly. Jehovah Witnesses have faith and seek God that is why i believe they can be saved. I myself am not a Jehovah's Witness. I follow the teachings of the Apostolic Doctrine. So i Believe that God's grace is infinte and without out faith we are going nowhere as stated in Hebrews 11
Very true, but you can't use the Gospel to excuse false teachings. If they are saved, why are they preaching a message contrary to the Gospel? Isn't the same Holy Spirit imparted on those who have faith? Then how can the same Holy Spirit teach two different doctrines? It can't. That's why one of the two sides must be saved and have the real Spirt, and the other must have a spirit of deceit and be condemned.
One things that I believe and trying to understand is that there are many ways to Christ. The bible says the only way to God is through Jesus but the bible never said there is only one way to Jesus. In fact there are a number of paths to get to Christ. I believe the path that a person should chose is wat is best for them. That is y I dont down any1 beliefs in God or Jesus. Cause quite frankly I dont care how u get to Christ as long as u get to God through Christ

Jesus said in his word that those who praise him will be blessed. Being Rich is being blessed. Jesus also said to pay tithes to 10% of ur increase. Being Rich does not mean u r not a christian. Look at T.D. Jakes he is rich cause he is doing God's work. So u r sayin that he is not a Christian?

I don't know to be honest with you. But I'm very iffy on whether or not a believer can be prosperous. What I can tell you is that you do not prosper because your are a believer. And that you can not be rich AND claim to be a Christian at the same time. I'm just assuming that because of the shining rims he's rich, but I really can't say because I don't know him. But if he's still taking the same joy from tricking out his ride as when he wasn't saved, then he needs to really examine himself.
When did He state that a believer cannot/may not be prosperous? God has asked of many to deliver His Message. I sure hope that I will not be judged for having Eagle rims on my Mustang. Does that prevent me from Loving My Saviour. No it most definitely does not. Romans 12 details how God has many messengers who use their strengths to deliver his message. Should you have any doubt regarding Mr. Jones' relationship with God, I encourage you to listen to "Nobody Cared"
Well here's the thing. Everything we have is given by God who demands that we use it for the advancement of His Kingdom and Glory. So how do rims glorify God? What benefit does it do God to have the custom paint job or other luxuries? Yes but no where in the New Testament does Jesus or anyone else say to glorify God with your riches by giving yourselves luxuries. He says just the opposite- you cannot have the wealth and make it to the Kingdom of Heaven.
LIVING CLEAN is the message, CHANGING is the message. Do you own a car that you like, a T.V. you like, a suit you like?
You may be the first person on this planet in the position to have permission to judge. Do you have permission to judge? Did you take a moment to listen to the other songs as I challenged? Please don't misunderstand why I post this brother. I don't come onto these songs just to be negative. Rather, I do it because the only thing that hurts me more than seeing nonbelievers waste their lives is seeing believers believe in a false doctrine. I'm not just focusing on the rims. There are several parts that are not Christian. Another is when he says that when he gets money he gives God money first to show how much he loves Him. You don't offer money to show how much you love God.

You could check the whole new testament. Not once does anyone say you can have the money and keep God. He says just the opposite give up the wealth to follow Christ. Check out Acts the believers gave up everything they had because they felt "what they had was not their own."

If what he is doing is not of God it will come to naught. Now I ask all to examine the fruit of his labors. Songs he has produced has literally transformed my mind. I have been saved for 18 years. Top Model, Holy Ghost Girl, All about the Kingdom gives such respect to God's women. On the day of Pentecost, they marvelled because they heard the Galileans speaking in their own language (the observers). I'm sorry for the person who said they put their Bible down because of people like him. He is not boasting at all, he is magnifying the blessing that comes from living your life the way God intended. What God has done for one, he will do for all. We don't know what Canton went through to get where he is, but his battle is not over, it never will be. Hmmm. I like this song a lot (very catchy chorus). But I will say some parts of the message can be misleading to those who are not so mature in their walk with Christ.
When reviewing songs like this it depends on individual interpretation & whether it lines up with the Word of God..
Mr Jones is clearly glorifying God for what he has. However, the last verse before the chorus implies the "living your best life now" when instead we should be storing our treasures in Heaven (Matt 6:20).

If our church members take a reality check test of themselves they will learn that a lot of us in the church have a habit of makeing the church into a click. almost to say everyone is not allowed. we say one thing and our actions show another. its a shame isnt it? Kids pick up on that very quick because they look for it as soon as they go. they wait for someone to find something wrong with them and its just all bad.

@rachellechaff real talk. recently i learned that peopl misinterpret the reason for going to churcch. they forget the reason why they got saved and start focusing on things like whos wearing,saying, or doing something that isnt "churchy". teens and kids get tired of being judged so they start to think that there is no reson to come to church, or they think that its to hard being a christian. they need to stop forming clicks and start forming a chior or dane ministry for god.

I recently saw this young man perform in Hephzibah, GA and I must say he's Phenomenal! He’s so talented, gifted with God's anointing! I was blown away at his appeal to the youth. I've never seen young people lose it for Christ the way they did at his concert. I liked him before, now that I've seen him live... WHOOHOOO!!! I love Him! I pray the more of God be upon him and all that he does as he goes forth winning souls for Christ! I bought both of his CD's, please do the same, it's $ well spent!

Jesus was not poor and that is who we are aiming to be like. people envied him and gambled over his clothes. He is God and we are not. He tells us how to live. We do not tell him how we live. You either obey or disobey. I cannot see this singers heart though. Hebrews 11 verse 6 states that it is imposible to please God without Faith and anyone who comes to him must beleive that he exist and he rewards them earnestly. Jehovah Witnesses have faith and seek God that is why i believe they can be saved. I myself am not a Jehovah's Witness. I follow the teachings of the Apostolic Doctrine. So i Believe that God's grace is infinte and without out faith we are going nowhere as stated in Hebrews 11

Very true, but you can't use the Gospel to excuse false teachings. If they are saved, why are they preaching a message contrary to the Gospel? Isn't the same Holy Spirit imparted on those who have faith? Then how can the same Holy Spirit teach two different doctrines? It can't. That's why one of the two sides must be saved and have the real Spirt, and the other must have a spirit of deceit and be condemned.

One things that I believe and trying to understand is that there are many ways to Christ. The bible says the only way to God is through Jesus but the bible never said there is only one way to Jesus. In fact there are a number of paths to get to Christ. I believe the path that a person should chose is wat is best for them. That is y I dont down any1 beliefs in God or Jesus. I have experienced people in one Breath praise God and in the other use Profanity. I think that we should not be quick to say this is not Christian Cause GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOURS WAYS

I don't know to be honest with you. But I'm very iffy on whether or not a believer can be prosperous. What I can tell you is that you do not prosper because your are a believer. And that you can not be rich AND claim to be a Christian at the same time. I'm just assuming that because of the shining rims he's rich, but I really can't say because I don't know him. But if he's still taking the same joy from tricking out his ride as when he wasn't saved, then he needs to really examine himself.

When did He state that a believer cannot/may not be prosperous? God has asked of many to deliver His Message. I sure hope that I will not be judged for having Eagle rims on my Mustang. Does that prevent me from Loving My Saviour. No it most definitely does not. Romans 12 details how God has many messengers who use their strengths to deliver his message. Should you have any doubt regarding Mr. Jones' relationship with God, I encourage you to listen to "Nobody Cared"

Well here's the thing. Everything we have is given by God who demands that we use it for the advancement of His Kingdom and Glory. So how do rims glorify God? What benefit does it do God to have the custom paint job or other luxuries? Yes but no where in the New Testament does Jesus or anyone else say to glorify God with your riches by giving yourselves luxuries. He says just the opposite- you cannot have the wealth and make it to the Kingdom of Heaven.

LIVING CLEAN is the message, CHANGING is the message. Do you own a car that you like, a T.V. you like, a suit you like?
You may be the first person on this planet in the position to have permission to judge. Do you have permission to judge? Did you take a moment to listen to the other songs as I challenged? You are not using your computer in the way he designed. Go out on the street, persuade others that He does love them instead of posting negativity please

Please don't misunderstand why I post this brother. I don't come onto these songs just to be negative. Rather, I do it because the only thing that hurts me more than seeing nonbelievers waste their lives is seeing believers believe in a false doctrine. I'm not just focusing on the rims. There are several parts that are not Christian. Another is when he says that when he gets money he gives God money first to show how much he loves Him. You don't offer money to show how much you love God.

It's not that it's not ministering the wrong message to me, but that it's the wrong message. Yeah, if your doing it to show what God is worth, He's worth all of it. I wouldn't give ten percent to show hoe much God is worth. Jesus said to give it all. That's all I wanted to say.

Our thoughts are not like his thoughts our ways are not like his ways so we cant say that this is not Christian cause we r NOT GOD. And also he said give unto Ceasar's wat is Ceasar's and give to God wat is his. The blessings he give us is MONEY so we R TO GIVE HIM 10% OF OUR INCREASE cause that is wat he blessed us with.

Okay but I can judge based on the teachings of the Bible and I'm sure your pastor would agree with me. There are doctrines that are true and others that aren't it's not judging it's the Gospel.

Cause i agree with you some of the things in this song are a little iffy and it does not minister to me. But i belive that the scriptures are the truth and the scripture never said that u cant have good things. The scripture just said do not put ur trust in wealth. never said u cant have wealth

You could check the whole new testament. Not once does anyone say you can have the money and keep God. He says just the opposite give up the wealth to follow Christ. Check out Acts the believers gave up everything they had because they felt "what they had was not their own."

Jesus was poor,wht many dont tell you is that He didnt walk in poverty to say that we must also walk in poverty,2 Corinth 8:9 says it best:"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich." & yes rich in every area of your life!
