I would really like to make a reprap mendel, but i just can't talk myself into spending 700$...

Yes, that's what I did. There are small support pillars included which are very easy to remove afterwards. With many shapes this is possible, but with complex this like complete mechanical clocks it would become very tedious and less reliable (stress in the material will deform things)

But how do you manage to make those puppets? Did you make something to support the arm, and cut it off afterwards? Do you have a video how you made these dolls?
