The smart thing about the video cards like 4870x2, 9800gx2, 295gtx and so on are that they have multiple gpu's on one card and can run in one slot without the disadvantages of suffering fps loss because of multiple pci express slots running. if those cards were affected by "crossfire fps loss" or whatever, they would be much less attractive and there would not be many reasons to make them...
Yes it does use crossfire, load it up in gpu-z and you will see that it does, the 4870x2 scales the exact same way 2 4870's will, the reason they are made is for people who dont have 2 pci-e slots, or who want quad crossfire
Nooo! In many games crossfire suck and 2 4870's will be just as good as 1. The 4870x2 allways performs well! Get it?! it performs well in games that doesn't support crossfire! I've had both 4870 and 4870x2 so trust me on this... Your gpu-z might show one thing but the performance in games don't lie.

Its a pitty that the game cannot use crossfire so the 4870x2 is as good as a 4870

Change the exe to afr-friendlyd3d.EXE and crossfire should work.

the 4870x2 is one graphics card with 2 gpu's running in 1 pci express slot.
crossfire is 2 graphics cards running in 2 separate pci express slots.
the 4870x2 does outperform the 4870 by far.

The 4870x2 still uses crossfire even though its on one card

nope. it doesn't :)
Crossfire is the same as SLI.
One card cannot use Crossfire.

no you are wrong, look at any amount of benchmarks, in a game that does not support crossfire 4870x2 is as good as a 4870.
