So if a stutterer tried to talk at a slower pace, a much slower pace, and not try to speak as you would if you were intentionally trying to tell someone something, just paying attention at sounding out each word correctly, how would that sound?
I bought that item and help you speak straight but because if the background noise and the second voice you hear, just dont let you hear whatever is being told to you. I reached a point where i had to take it off every time i finishef speaking just to hear the other person and then put it back. It help but just a little bit and it costed me almost $3,000.
I really dont understand how that could possibly help us who stutter. Just listening to youself? You still can stutter. Even if it did work, I highly doubt that I would use it. I can get around my stuttering without having a device in my ear. Having a device in my ear would probably make things harder.
ive heard of this when i went to therapy, apparently it works but not for a long time, why not just be open with the way you talk, be proud of who you are
caper123 is right, being open about your speech is best.. those who disagree, need to go to therapy to learn you how to really desensitize yourself and go to a NSA conference to see that stuttering doesn't have to hold you back.. and yeah, speech easy isn't worth it. it can be a good tool to use in therapy, but not everyday life.
People got angry at me when I said that I had a Speech Easy for sale.I would never try to scam anyone escpecially someone who needs the help that I did 3 years ago. Im sorry if I offended anyone but I just want to help because I know the feeling of doing anything possible to avoid talking. During a college course when the teacher went around the class for us to talk about our paper I actually hid in the bathroom the complete hour scared of going back in there.I promise you the speech easy works!
I had sttutering since when i was child and i try speech eazy in dubai And its not work with me at all but its work with another people i agree but with me not make deffernt
It works great for the first month or so then stops working. It is not amazing or a miracle worker. Thank you stutter talk for setting the record right. Unfortunately, the speech easy is not the answer.
@sorimachiforever Most people who cannot except it have already been through depression. Self acceptance is for when you realize that nothing comes handed to you on a plate, not in any way shape or form. speech courses can help train you to make it easier but still requires 100% from you. Speech devices require you to rely on a mechanical device that ONLY works when it's in your ear.
If this costed an arm and a leg which in fact it does--I would gladly get my leg amputated to get this device. The price is a heartless cruel slap in the face.
I can't stand not being able to communicate at all..it hurts my self esteem so bad on a daily basis.
I want this thing so bad but I can't afford it---those sellers- if they stuttered and needed a device to help them communicate easier they would give them for free because they would know compassion and empathy for us.
@happy7117 The SpeechEasy is not expensive at all. When I had it priced 3 years ago, the cost was only $3,000. Not only that, but your insurer (if you're insured) may pay for it as "durable medical equipment" or your state may pay for it through rehabilitation/vocational services department. Ask around.
@happy7117 You've posted that stuttering has robbed of your dreams and social life and that you hate stuttering more than anything else in life. Is it worth spending $3,000 dollars? Of course! I don't know where you are from, but $3,000 is two month's worth of a minimum wage job -- which by the way, many stutterers remain in because of their stutter.

Self acceptance is the cheapest cure for stuttering.
casper123 1 year ago 2
self acceptance might deviate to depression easily. And you have to constantly remind yourself every single day. So, it's a hard way

I don't get taunted by others- but my emotions are taunted and torn apart on a daily basis by this same problem that Mark has!!
This device is a miracle in every sense of the word..for those that can afford it. It makes others who can't afford extremely bitter!!
Makes me want to be best buds with Mark!!
happy7117 1 year ago
I am profoundly inspired by this device. But on the same coin, I am profoundly jealous and envious!!
I have stuttered nastily all my life, and hate it more than anything else in the world.
Terrible stuttering has robbed me of my dreams..stuttering has robbed me of a socaial life.

One shouldn't think $3000 is expensive..we might want to think again!!
There is one device i desperately want which is called fluency master...
I am not sure but that might be able to be paid for through durable medical equipment.
