Don't worry, it isn't always this crazy. If you really want a front-and-center spot on the lawn, I recommend you send 1 person w/ a blanket ahead of time (by 5pm). Otherwise, you can usually get side or back lawn spots a little later, and you can get good sound all the way up to the Upper Terrace, right behind he Library.
