  • Hey I have a question. My teacher got me a nice paddle and I've been playing with it for over two years I think. I play ping pong in my garage and I've been leaving me paddle on the table when not in play. One thing I've noticed is that the rubber padding is really smooth and dry now, when it was kinda stickier and had that shine on it before and it helped more with my spin. What is the best way to get my rubber padding back to good condition? Thanks!

  • @NightClash909 You can't get the rubber back into good condition. You need to replace the rubber. As a general rule of thumb you need to replace your rubber after around 80 playing hours. We have a video on our website under our Free Lessons and equipment section showing exactly how you do this.

  • wow!

  • Isn't it hard to play against a left-handed when u are right-handed?

  • 0:32 OMG IF I JUST COULD DO THAT!

  • @firendable It all comes down to practice (and you need a decent bat!)

  • @pinkasso85 Yeah the rule is:

The server must then throw the ball almost vertically up, without imparting spin, so that it rises at least 16cm after leaving the palm of the free hand and then falls without touching anything before being hit.

The service rules are quite problematic in Table Tennis and enforced differently by different umpires. A lot of the top players in the world still throw the ball up in a way which is not almost vertical.

I actually think the serves are good :)

  • @pinkasso85 why don't you upload what you think a good serve would be?

  • How did i got here from listening to Pendulum's songs.

  • świetnie:)

  • @misiek1231231 Dzięki! Cieszę się, że podoba Ci się film.

  • how'd you do it with penhold?

  • i know how u do these serves...i played tennis it has the same physics

  • @theamazingtoot Excellent

  • you guys need to change that music at the end. driving me crazy

  • @Choopzilla What's wrong with it?

  • @Choopzilla It's royalty free :)

  • I don't even play ping pong... How did I get here?

  • @MrBluedream1 I'm not sure. Maybe you should give it a try. It's a great game!

  • @pingskills , yessss!!! tabletennis is awesome :D

  • Hey, how to bought those DVDs?

  • @LonelyHaw95 Just go to our website and you can order them online.

  • @LonelyHaw95 first get u're english straight!!!!

  • When he says "Ping Skills" it sounds like "Penis ills" :)

  • @5Qu1Z33r

no it doesnt you must be deaf

  • can

  • what kind of rubber would you recomend ? would it be like a tenergy 05 fx

  • what kind of rubber would you recomend ?

  • does tacky rubber allow you to get extreme curvature of the ball on the table?

  • @aaronbla152k9 It certainly does. You need to have a good quality rubber on your bat in order to be able to generate spin.

  • @pingskills what kind of rubber would you recomend and i dont mind paying good money for it would it be like the tenergy 05 fx

  • @aaronbla152k9 Tenergy is an excellent rubber however it really depends on your level. Tenergy is a fast rubber so if you haven't yet developed control I would go for something slower. There are so many good quality rubbers it is hard to keep a track so we just pick 3 and recommend them on our website. Mark V, Yasaka Pryde and Xiom Vega. Again as your control improves you can move up this list with Vega being a very fast rubber.

  • does tacky rubber allow yo to get extreme curvature of the ball on the table?

  • Hi, Ping skills i have a probelm whenever i choose to do pendulum. Reverse pendulum, ma lin ghost serve. I struggle to get curvature of the ball on the table i is so frustrating. If i bought a really tacky rubber will i get an extreme curve?

  • I think this serve is awesome, and after trying it, admire the man that makes it look so simple. Question, though: Is it a valid serve if the ball bounces twice on the opponent's side? I've always thought that serve would still 'count', but some people I've played threw the ball back and counted it their point, to my great disgust. Who's right?

  • I type Pendulum and I don't get this video. So there is something wrong with all you people who found this video.

  • Damn, the reversed pendulum serve is so hard :(

  • Z O M G its PING PONG!!!)!$*!%&!#$(&!@#*!@_#*&$

  • There is a big problem in those service.

The ball mustn't go to the player but in start the ball must go about perpendicular to player and not to come to the player.

  • Thanks

  • Why can't I get spin om the ball why is it so hard can you give me some tips?

  • @Rastaguy8 You need to have some good equipment first. You must have a tacky rubber that will grip the ball. Once you have your equipment sorted you need 2 things. Firstly you need a fast contact with the ball and secondly you need a fine brushing contact. These two things combined will generate plenty of spin on the ball.

  • how much shoukd i spend on a rubber

  • @tutorials3216 It really depends on what sort of speed and spin you are after. We have some good suggestions on our website. Take a look and let me know if you have any questions.

  • thanx for your videos , fantastic lession for self leaners, recommend the meanwhile the hole club. (lazy bones -.) Please make if possible a free lession about diffent serves like this but in slow motion. Serves look so easy but the body movement is so difficult .

Spin, speed, placment + fun , and your pingskills will increase ! *g*

  • @recbeatloop thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you're finding our videos useful. We have made the DVD Serving Secrets Revealed that covers the information that you are after in great detail. However that is a product that we sell on our website and is not free.

Good luck with your Table Tennis.

  • the serves are way to bouncey so thumbs down from me

  • where was this video taken? australia

  • @mac39945 Yes at the Dandenong Table Tennis Centre in Victoria, Australia.

  • @pingskills oh i knew it from the wall back there

  • cool the pendulum is a piece of cake but the reverse is hard!

  • @MrElijahtan it is also about variating your serves ;)

  • @TaciTiciBoy Great point!

  • @MrElijahtan Serving with backspin and then trying to topspin the third ball is a great tactic. A good sidespin serve also can be very effective and some players don't like sidespin serves. You need to find out the serve that your opponent likes the least.

  • If only it was free

  • @TheMroreo95 We have some paid content but there is a lot of great free stuff we have up on our website if you are interested.

  • @Mr56ilka We don't really recommend equipment because there are just too many choices. However if you put a question up on our "Ask the Coach" section of our website, you can get some responses from all our readers.

  • ain't nooooooooooo drum and bass round here, just a man with a ball 8D

  • stupid fans. "Pendulum & Reverse Pendulum Serve" is easy enough to understand that this ain't your f*cking music video. Get out of this video and leave us (Table Tennis Enthusiasts) ALONE. trolls

  • @nesz719 We are not trolls, we are having a joke, learn to internet.

  • @FlashFireSix uhhh, DreamGamingProducion doesn't seem to be joking.... and majority of them is just too stupid to even write a comment that way.

  • Thumbs up if you didn't even realize he's left handed.

  • Another Awesome piece of drum and bass by pendulum there XD

  • this is fcking gay cant you invent another lame ass word for that stupid server thing? cuz seriously you are making pendulum look bad.

  • virgin

  • Okay guys. We all know now that everyone of you is just too fucking retarded to distinguish this from music. Thank you for the information, now get your attention from somewhere else.

    Thumbs down if I'm right

  • nice!

  • Thumbs up if you thought this was actually Pendulum before you clicked on it !

  • Only word "Pendulum" caused me to see that.

    Where's my D'n'b???!!!

  • Onlu word "Pendulum" caused me to see that.

    Where's my D'n'b???!!!

  • i dont like that r.pendulum

  • lol thats dandenong oasis xD

  • lol i thort this was a song!

  • pfft. easy

  • ^_^

  • Thumbs up if you wanted to see songs by Pendulum.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh cool so this is what my serve is called =)) I was wondering if my serve had a name :))

  • seems pretty easy to hit imo..

  • @dkrypto911 i was just thinking that... the r.pendulum looks pretty high...

  • pendulum serve is a side spin right?

  • his left handed

this is very useful for me, i've got a competition next week

  • i rly hate dose ppl wu dislike dis video...!!!

  • yay another lefty

  • how did i get this by looking pendulum's songs?

  • @xQCxAlexPwn1 - Huh? Hahaha!

  • @xQCxAlexPwn1 because pedulum is part of "pedulum service" in table tennis^^

  • @Kurcolhin i don't really play tennis and I thaught this was a sort of pendulum song (Pendulum is a DnB Band)

  • @xQCxAlexPwn1 do you know what pendulum means ?

  • @MrSHURIKENCHO yeah, but I came here for the ARTIST. not the tennis :L)

  • listo

  • But how do you need to hold your bat if you use the penhold technique? I assume this kind of serving technique is for people who uses shakehand... Do you need to use a V-grip for serving with penhold or something?

    Thanks in advance

  • Isn't it called in-and-out serve?

  • Cool trick! Well done!

  • Where you are playing seems very familiar. i think i played there for school table tennis.

  • Could u make a slow motion for this?

  • nice :)

  • @pngskills: in order to generate a good spin, do you have to hit the ball hard on serving or a softtouch.

  • Hmmm.....I guess from the looks, you haven't changed much since high school. Like the old saying goes " Once a Fag, always a Fag"....keep it up FAGGOT!!

  • i say, after several years of amateur pingpong play that the technique matters 60-70 percent, the rest belongs to the quality of your paddle, and there are no such skill that couldn`t be achieved with lower quality paddles

  • am i behind the times or aren't those illegal serves? aren't u suppose to pop the ball straight up?

  • @mjt11860 : the rule said pop the ball straight up at least 6 inches. the ball must be visible at all time...

  • Loop the same thing much

  • hey im left handed.

    like you :D

  • Amazing how much time you spend to help other people with their techniques.

    Keep it up pingskills

  • hit you the ball high from rubber or more under ?

  • what's the point when you can only serve to the WRONG side of the table and lose the point? IDIOT!

  • The serving boxes mean nothing is singles dipshit. That is strictly for doubles. This is TABLE tennis not tennis. Just because they have similar names and are similar games, doesn't mean they have the same rules. IDIOT!

  • @despoticwalnut : if you wanna help, answer nicely. you were once an ignorant of this game. you're the IDIOT!!!

  • @TheDarthTuber you don't have to serve diagonally across the table. Hope this helps :)

  • that's a sweet training facility they got there. anyone know where it is and what MSAF stands for?

  • What grip are they using??? please reply

  • They are using a modification of the shakehand serve. If you look of Visipi's Ma Lin serve tutorial, the grip is the same as the one they use.

  • @treexps : Same shakehand but you have to loosen your grip a bit sometimes in serving then back to shakehand. message me your email and I will make a slow mo video of that.

  • Uhh lol you do knw these guys are professional coaches even though they didnt originally make the serve they can teach it alot better and they get paid for teaching players for example just one on one professional coaching costs bout $40 to $50 NZD. an hour

  • lol post free sh1t don't take money because u didn't invented those

  • fuck man i bought a three star ball for 50 cent and it is like shit its worst that a no star ball !!! its china made DAMN

  • buy DHS bro...its 3 star ball can hold for 3 months i think....and im using it...very nice...

  • @milotist : buy Nittaku brand that's made in Japan.

  • ...What is the name of the song in the credits?

  • the first one was cool

  • in this video they were playing at the dandenong oasis in Australia because it looks exaclty the same

  • Pendulum serve i have down..its the reverse one that kills me or wins me the most epic of points i need to practice alot

  • @kaydo29 : to kill a sidespin serve, just topspin it and it's done.

  • @criticaltinker yea but u also have to push through. you cant just top spin it and hope for the best lol

  • @kaydo29 : have you tried it? believe me, just top spin and angle towards the opposite of the spin so it will end up in the table.

  • @criticaltinker Of course i have.. been playing this game for 7 years now...but i have rather a unique playing style...so the top spin may work well for you,,,but the way i said i do it works well for me.

  • @kaydo29 : ok, we all have different ways. the push won't work for me. but i have to practice it because if the sidespin serve is short or if you're out of position, sometimes you have to push. can you make a video of that. show me how to do it. thanks...

  • @kaydo29: here i made a video of how to return a sidespin using a push and a backhand and forehand topspin... search for "Returning Sidespin" here in YT.

  • Why was this video recommended for me?

  • its a conspiracy

  • Maybe because you hear Drum & Bass?

  • Touche!

  • @voltaicmusic

    Ask youtube?

  • @voltaicmusic : because this guyz here in pingskill teach pingpong excellently...

  • Dude, maybe you should take a look at old players like Grubba, Klampar, Jonyer and Gergely if you want to learn how to serve...

  • You're right.

  • If I serve and the ball bounces off my side, misses thier side of the table and gives them a backsmack, do I win?

  • is it allowed in table tennis serves for the ball to take more than one step on the table.meaning if i serve and the ball hits the other court and bounces two times on the other court will that be my point on the serve or not

  • yes if the opponent doesn't hit it after the first bounce it's your point

  • The principal rule in table tennis tells if the ball bounces on the ground or bounces twice on the table, means that's your point. Also on the service

  • okay thanx

  • i just can the reverse :D

  • what ball do u use??

  • haha thats so easyy man i do it all the time.

  • sick reverse

  • man, ive been tryin reverse pendulum, its so hard

  • yes this is allowed!^^

  • plase can someone tel me: is this serve allowed in competiton? thanks!

  • yes it is, all of them

  • Thanks!!!!

  • @quiero3ver : yes! as long as you toss it up at least 6 inches...

  • @criticaltinker Thanks !!!

  • or else you could post it on youtube...

  • yeah i just saw a pig fly by lmao :p

  • practice is everything

  • Correction.

    Perfect practice is everything..

  • key is to swing PARALLEL to the width of the table

aka the white line in front of you

never serve perdendicular to the table unless u want ur serve to have distance on in it

  • Nice serve

  • wow...

  • DUDE YOUR AWESOME !!!!!

your reverse pendulum is awesome !!!!

  • soy de venezuelaa y me parece q ustedes son muy buenos!! quisieraa aprender un poco pero me falta practicaaa de todos modos les doy las gracias por sus videos de todos aprendi mucho!!!

xD i am alejandro!! is god the play

  • are you serious.....first of all its called penhold, second he's not even using it, he is using shakehand way, he just moves his hand up for the serve...alot of people change their grip when serving

  • @jaimilypwnsnoobs reverse pendulum is a type of serve you dumb shit.., penhold is how you hold your racket., don't comment if you don't know anything, just go fuck your mom.., stupid bitch.

  • @oynomed28 you should see the whole thing before commenting... now you look like a shit. lol

  • if my opponent makes a sidespin serve and follows through to my left, which way should I aim my paddle when i return it?

  • Well in your case it doesn't matter which way. Just put an opposite spin on the ball and you're good :]

But it would be most affective to return it as a straight ball and try to bounce it off on or near the left edge. Cause he/she's expecting you to return to your right. This'll catch them off guard.

  • to your left

so the ball goes straight forward

  • topspin should solve.. or do a backspin o.o; dont *aim* your blade

  • @enemie55 : depends on which directions of his spin. pendulum and reverse pendulum are creating an opposite spin. analyze the spin. it depends also whether your opponent is left or right handed. to be safe, don't just push it. Topspin it without hesitation!!! it kills the sidespin.

  • he says DVD funny

  • First off he's Australian. You should be happy you're seeing someone speaking in English. But to be honest, I though he said Daily Day but after some correcting I'm sure it's DVD.

  • i always use the arm and penhold

i just give an fresh side spin with my penhold using my arm

    really works

  • ohda yo cuppy of sehving skillz tahdaii!
